Some semiconductor (solid state) devices can be damaged easily by static electricity. Such components commonly are called
Electrostatically Sensitive (ES) Devices. Examples of typical ES devices are integrated circuits and some field effect transistors and
The following techniques should be used to help reduce the incidence of component damage caused by static electricity.
1. Immediately before handling any semiconductor component or semiconductor-equipped assembly, drain off any electrostatic charge on
your body by touching a known earth ground. Alternatively, obtain and wear a commercially available discharging wrist strap device,
which should be removed for potential shock reasons prior to applying power to the unit under test.
2. After removing an electrical assembly equipped with ES devices, place the assembly on a conductive surface such as aluminum foil, to
4. Use only an anti-static solder removal device. Some solder removal devices not classified as "anti-static" can generate electrical charges
5. Do not use freon-propelled chemicals. These can generate electrical change sufficient to damage ES devices.
6. Do not remove a replacement ES device from its protective package until immediately before you are ready to install it. (Most replacement
ES devices are packaged with leads electrically shorted together by conductive foam, aluminum foil or comparable conductive material.)
7. Immediately before removing the protective material from the leads of a replacement ES device, touch the protective material to the
CAUTION : Be sure no power is applied to the chassis or circuit, and observe all other safety precautions.
8. Minimize bodily motions when handling unpackaged replacement ES devices. (Otherwise harmless motion such as the brushing together
or your clothes fabric or the lifting of your foot from a carpeted floor can generate static electricity sufficient to damage an ES devices.
Components identified with the IEC symbol in the parts list are special significance to safety. When replacing a component identified with
, use only the replacement parts designated, or parts with the same ratings or resistance, wattage, or voltage that are designated in the
parts list in this manual. Leakage-current or resistance measurements must be made to determine that exposed parts are acceptably
insulated from the supply circuit before retuming the product to the customer.

WALL-MOUNTING THE SOUNDBAR 2
If your TV is attached to a wall, you can use the included wall-mount
bracket to mount the soundbar on the wall directly below the TV
screen.
1. Determine the location for the soundbar on the wall. Make sure that
the top of the soundbar will not block your view of the TV screen
when it is mounted on the wall.
2. Hold the bracket against the wall as a template and mark the
locations of the soundbar wall-mount bracket holes on the wall. The
three holes should be evenly spaced 7-1/16" (18cm) apart, and the
bracket slots are designed to accept 4mm screws. Make sure that
the holes are at the same height. See the illustration below.
For example, placing the subwoofer next to a wall generally will increase
the amount of bass in the room; placing it in a corner (1) generally will
maximize amount of bass in the room. However, corner placement
can also increase the destructive effect of standing waves on bass
performance. This effect can vary depending on the listening position –
some listening positions may yield very good results while others may
have far too much (or too little) bass at certain frequencies.
4. After reading the Connections section on page 5, connect all cables
to the soundbar.
In many rooms, placing the subwoofer along the same plane as the
soundbar (2) can produce the best integration between the sound
of the subwoofer and that of the soundbar. In some rooms, the best
performance could even result from placing the subwoofer behind the
listening position (3).

GINSENG MODULE DATASHEET - DIGITAL WIRELESS AUDIO SOLUTION FOR GENERAL APPLICATIONS
XPD:
The XPD port is a SPI bus used for loading module firmware during development and mass production and also for
debugging. One of the following two styles of XPD port connectors should be included on all motherboard designs
that use Ginseng to ensure that loading code and debugging can be done easily. The XPD port interfaces to the
XPD module which provides an interface to a host computer via RS-232 or USB. The XPD port operates from the
VCC bus. To ensure proper functionality of the XPD interface, be sure to minimize the amount of capacitance on
the XPD lines. Note: the XPD_RESET / EXT_RST pin is tolerant up to 1.8V MAX -- if control of the Reset pin is
desired, a series diode must be used to guarantee the input voltage does not exceed the 1.8V max.
Customers can purchase an XPD Programming Module and ribbon cables from Eleven Engineering, or build their
own based on the Schematic, BOM, Assembly Drawing, and Gerber files, which are all available from Eleven without
charge. The XDE download program is also available from Eleven’s website without charge.
Digital IO:
Ginseng has general purpose digital IO (“GPIO”) pins available for use by the application firmware. GPIO pins use
the same logic voltage as the 3.3V pin and have the following software configurable features: IO direction, drive
strength (for output only), Schmitt Trigger (for input only), pull up (input only), pull down (input only), slew rate
(output only). Ginseng is also capable of active-high and active-low configuration of LEDs.

7 GVDD PO Internally generated gate voltage supply. Not to be used as a supply or connected to any component other
than a 1 F X7R ceramic decoupling capacitor.
8 GAIN/SLV I Selects Gain and selects between Master and Slave mode depending on pin voltage divider.
9 GND G Power Ground
10 LINP I Negative audio input for left channel. Biased at 3 V.
11 LINN I Positive audio input for left channel. Biased at 3 V.
12 MUTE I Mute signal for fast disable/enable of outputs (HIGH = outputs OFF, LOW = outputs ON). TTL logic levels
with compliance to AVCC.
13 AM2 I AM Avoidance Frequency Selection
(1) TYPE: DO = Digital Output, I = Analog Input, G = General Ground, PBY = Power Bypass, PO = Power Output, PI = Power Input, BST =
Boot Strap.
