According the involvement of the stakeholders and experts the technical requirements and Designe
can be grouped logically in four major areas. The following checklist guides specifies in more detail
the different areas that have to be covered by the Technical Requirements and Design phase:

Prepare the required architectural design for software tools and components with special focus on the following areas:

 Process and information flow between the components


 Interface technology between the components (interface standards)
 Release and version compliance between the different components
 Single-sign on requirements
 Security aspects

03_ Technical components and equipment


Select the technical components and equipment with special focus on the following areas:

 Selection of the hardware platform


 Selection of the operating system and database
 Selection of external devices (printer types, mobile devices, etc.)

04_ Licenses
Collect the license requirements for all needed technical components, equipment, and software tools with special focus
on the following areas:

 Licensing model
 Number of users
 Volume of dataflow and interfaces
