devän deva-yajo yänti
but My devotees attain Me

mad-bhaktä yänti mäm api
anta-vat—perishable; tu—but; phalam—fruit; teñäm—their; tat—that; bhavati—becomes; alpa—medhasäm—of those of small intelligence; devän—to the demigods; deva-yajaù—the worshipers of the demigods; yänti—go; mat—My; bhaktäù— devotees; yänti—go; mäm—to Me; api—also.

Men of small intelligence worship the demigods, and their fruits are limited and temporary. Those who worship the demigods go to the planets of the demigods, but My devotees ultimately reach My supreme planet. Bg 7.28

Unintelligent men, who do not know Me perfectly, think that I, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Kåñëa, was impersonal before and have now assumed this personality. Due to their small knowledge, they do not know My higher nature, which is imperishable and supreme.

anta-käle—at the end of life; ca—also; mäm—Me; eva— certainly; smaran—remembering; muktvä—quitting; kalevaram—the body; yaù—he who; prayäti—goes; saù—he; mat-bhävam—My nature; yäti—achieves; na—not; asti—there is; atra—here; saàçayaù—doubt.

bhajante mäà dåòha-vratäù
yeñäm—whose; tu—but; anta—gatam—completely eradicated; päpam—sin; janänäm—of the persons; puëya—pious; karmaëäm—whose previous activities; te—they; dvandva—of duality; moha—delusion; nirmuktäù—free from; bhajante— engage in devotional service; mäm—to Me; dåòha-vratäù— with determination.

Persons who have acted piously in previous lives and in this life and whose sinful actions are And whoever, at the end of his life, quits his body completely eradicated are freed from the dualities of remembering Me alone at once attains My nature. delusion, and they engage themselves in My service Of this there is no doubt. with determination.

avagamam—understood. all are places of misery wherein repeated birth and death take place. everlasting. but I am realization. and it is joyfully performed. the great souls punar ävartino 'rjuna are places of rebirth. pavitram—the purest. pratyakña—by direct experience. But one who attains to My abode. This knowledge is the king of education. kaunteya—O son of Kunté.16 mäm upetya punar janma after attaining Me. avasthitaù—situated. o Kaunteya there is no more bith saàsiddhià paramäà gatäù having achieved the supreme perfection mäm—Me. jagat—cosmic manifestation. upetya—arriving. punaù—again. After attaining Me. O son of Kunté. by My unmanifested form pavitram idam uttamam pratyakñävagamaà dharmyaà understandable by direct perception. it is the perfection of religion. su-sukham—very happy. ävartinaù—returning. upetya—achieving. never return to this temporary world. mat-sthäni—in Me. ca—also. sarvam—all. mäm—unto Me. arjuna—O Arjuna. lokäù— the planetary systems. kartum—to execute. the most secret räja-vidyä räja-guhyaà the supremely purifying mayä tatam idaà sarvaà by Me all this is pervaded the universe. na—not. It is not in them. the most secret of all secrets. saàsiddhim—perfection. the great souls. idam—this. avyakta-mürtinä—by the unmanifested form. äpnuvanti—attain. It is the purest knowledge. na—never. avyayam—everlasting. dharmyam—the principle of religion.

kértayantaù—chanting. kñemam—protection. prayata-ätmanaù—from one in pure consciousness. which is one of My energies. fruit or water ye janäù paryupäsate those people who worship yo me bhaktyä prayacchati one who gives Me with devotion teñäà nityäbhiyuktänäà for them. ca—and. while meditating on Me patraà puñpaà phalaà toyaà a leaf. bhakti-upahåtam— offered in devotion. Under its rule this manifestation is created and annihilated again and again.10 Bg 9. teñäm—of them. I will accept it. toyam— water. phalam—a fruit. The wise who though they be of lower birth—women. mattaù—from Me. I am seated in everyone's heart. vartate—remains.15 Bg 15. is the knower of everything. sa sarva-vid bhajati mäà he knows everything and worships Me vedänta-kåd veda-vid eva cäham sarva-bhävena bhärata with all his heart. mattaù—from Me. Every sane man should give these destination. tri-vidhaà narakasyedaà this theefold of hell yaù çästra-vidhim utsåjya vartate käma-kärataù acts impelled by his whims dväraà näçanam ätmanaù gate / is the destruction of the self lust. tathä—as well as. çästra-vidhim—the regulations of the scriptures. sukham—happiness. eva—certainly. Indeed. mäm—unto Me. disregarding scriptural injunctions. and I am the knower of the Vedas. gatim—perfectional stage. sarva-vit—the knower of everything. na—never. saù—he. bhärata—O son of Bharata. na—never. O son of Bharata. aham—I. for they lead to the degradation of the soul. eva—certainly. ca—and. tattvataù—in truth. ärüòhani— being placed. bhrämayan sarva-bhütäni mounted on a machine (created) by Mäyä éçvaraù—the Supreme Lord. who are seated as on a machine. tato mäà tattvato jïätvä viçate tad-anantaram bhaktyä—by pure devotional service.Bg 18. He never laments or desires to have anything. sarvabhütäni—all living entities. One who is thus transcendentally situated at once realizes the Supreme Brahman and becomes fully joyful. . In that state he attains pure devotional service unto Me. eñyasi—you will come. na—never. sarva-bhütänäm—of all living entities. priyaù—dear. Thus you will come to Me without fail. mat—bhaktim—My devotional service. tiñöhati—resides. arjuna—O Arjuna. as the Supreme Personality of Godhead. jïätvä—knowing. satyam—truly. mäm—Me. I promise you this because you are My very dear friend. And when one is in full consciousness of Me by such devotion. matbhaktaù—My devotee. after knowing me truly one then enters (My nature) samaù sarveñu bhüteñu mad-bhaktià labhate paräm he achieves pure devotion to Me brahma-bhütaù—being one with the Absolute.

this supreme secret mäm ekaà çaraëaà vraja take shelter of Me alone I / you / from all sins mad-bhakteñv abhidhäsyati will explain among My devotees doing a great service for Me ahaà tväà sarva-päpebhyo mokñayiñyämi mä çucaù will liberate. parityajya— abandoning. mat—of Mine. Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. vraja—go. paramam—most. tväm—you. guhyam— confidential secret. bhaktià mayi paräà kåtvä mäm evaiñyaty asaàçayaù he attains Me without a doubt yaù—anyone who. mä—do not. Do not fear. mäm—unto Me. ekam—only. asaàçayaù—without doubt. . kåtvä— doing. bhaktim—devotional service. aham—I. çucaù—worry. bhakteñu—amongst devotees. and reactions. pure devotional service is guaranteed.
