Service
Using the VAS 5051/5052:
• Access the air conditioning control module fault memory, see Repair Manual Group 87 Air Conditioning,
Components, Checking and Adjusting with Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System VAS
5051/5052, in ElsaWeb.

If DTC 00819 is stored in fault memory:

• Check the wiring harness end connector of pressure sensor -G65- for corrosion.
• Check the sensor for correct fit.
• Check the wiring harness for damage.
If no faults are found, replace pressure sensor -G65- sensor, Part No. 1K0 959 126B.

If DTC 00229 is stored in fault memory:

• Unplug the connector of the pressure sensor -G65- and check for refrigerant oil residue. If refrigerant oil
residue is found, replace pressure sensor -G65-, Part No. 1K0 959 126B.

If no refrigerant oil residue is found, proceed as follows:

• Fill the air conditioning system and add tracer dye (R134 + additive), then leak test system, see Heating,
Ventilation & Air Conditioning, 00 General, Technical data, Refrigerant R134a – Servicing in ElsaWeb.

If a leak is indicated around pressure sensor -G65- sensor:

• Replace pressure sensor -G65- sensor, Part No. 1K0 959 126B.

If no leak is indicated around pressure sensor -G65- sensor:

• Continue with AC system leak test diagnosis.
