Vote for your class president!

We have talked about presidential elections in class. Now it is your turn to run for class president. In a group of 5 students, you will plan a campaign. First, your group must work together to come up with a platform. You should only choose 3 of the 4 issues we discussed in class: social, educational, activities, and campus. Then you must select: • 1 candidate for class president o You must use your charm to secure your classmates’ vote. Your responsibilities will be to
deliver the campaign speech to the class and be prepared to answer any questions about your team’s platform.

2 campaign managers o As managers, you will write the candidate’s campaign speech. The speech should be 2
minutes long and must explain your most important platform points. It should be exciting and convince your classmates to vote for your candidate.

2 publicity (公关) managers o As publicity experts, you will design a campaign slogan as well as make a campaign
poster advertising your candidate’s advantages to the class. You will introduce these items to the class on election day.

Your goal is to convince the rest of your classmates to vote for your candidate. On election day, each group will have 5 minutes to introduce their candidate. At the end of the campaign presentations, the class will ask the candidates questions. Then, the class will have an election to vote for the best candidate. The winner of the election will be the new class president!
