1. Identify the different characteristics of arts during Western and Classical Arts. .
2. Identify the artworks of Prehistoric Era and Egyptian Paintings.

At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
A. Determine the distinct characteristics of Western Classical Arts
B. Reflect on and derive the mood idea or message emanating from selected
artworks of the different periods.

C. Materials: 3 small cardboard, chalk, jumbled images, reading materials

May I request you all to stand and ask the


presence and guidance of the Lord before we
proceed to our lecture. (The teacher will pray with their teacher. )

Before we continue to our next lecture, I


have set you up a certain photos of an
artwork during a particular art period and the
thing that I needed you to do is to guess
about what artwork it is.

Those photos I have shown you class has


something to do with our lesson for today.
A. Activity
This time you will be having an activity with
regards the pictures I’ve shown you. I will
be dividing you into 4 groups. Please start
counting.
(Students start counting to divide themselves
into three)

Okay class you may now proceed to your


respective groups.
(Students will go to their group)
Here is the instruction for you activity. Each
groups will be given 1 questionnaire, chalk
and cardboard for your answers.

1. Group 1 will be answering “What do you


know about Pre-historic Era?”
2. Group 2 will answering “Give a words
that you think a characteristics of
Pre-historic Era?”
3. Group 3 “What do you think is the
purpose of Egyptian painting?”
4. Last group will write a word as many as
they can relatedly to Roman Arts.

How did you find our activity class?


It’s interesting/challenging Ma’am
How are you able to distinguish the correct
word the are related with attributes of those
artworks? We recall it from the previous lesson on
Ancient Times, Ma’am.

information about these eras.

Before you addressed those two artworks,


what do you think those two eras belonged
to?

Western Classical Art Ma’am


Fantastic class, our topic for today’s session
is about Western Classical Art Tradition.
C. Abstraction
Those Artwork I've showed are all came
from Western Classical Art. Since you class
as of now already have an idea on it, what
can you say about prehistoric era?
Ma'am, their canvases was found inside the
cave and they made out of animals and
human figures.
Excellent class, their canvases were found
inside the cave which may have been their
method of communication with one another.
Their work of art was found on September
12, 1940. It was 35,000 years of age from
now. They use ochres, bones, charcoal,
abalone shell holder and blending vessel as a
vehicle for their shading materials.

Next we will continue to the artistic
creations from the Ancient Egypts. Any Idea
class?
The reason for Egyptian canvas is to make
afterlife place charming and pleasant.

Next is the painting from Classical Greek
Era. Kindly read your module class.
Canvases during the classical Greek Era
were most regularly found in jars, boards
and burial chamber.

subject were fight scenes, legendary figures,
and daily scenes.

The last one is the Roman Era artistic
creations. Any Idea class?
Roman artistic creations have a wide
assortment of subjects, creatures; regular day
to day existence, still life, fanciful subjects,
portrait and landscape.
Alright class the advancement of landscape
painting is the principle innovation of
Roman composition from the Greek work of
art.

mosaic. )

The full picture of Roman floor in the house


of Dun Pompel, dated 100BC. The entire
mosaic portrays the fight between the armed
forces of Alexander the Great and Darius III
of Persia.
