2021 Derby-Shelton Memorial Parade Informa on

The Theme for the Parade is

“LEST WE FORGET”

A ached is the parade line-up. All divisions will be marked by signs

placed on Howe Avenue. Division One (1) will start at Howe Avenue &
Wharf Street.

The parade will be stepping o at approximately 9:00 am rain or shine.

Par cipant units should arrive between 7:30 am & 8:00 am.
Drop o for par cipants will be in the Municipal Parking Lot located at
Cornell Street at West Canal Street. To get to the lot use Howe Avenue
(Exit 14 N or S o Route 8) south to Grove Street, le onto Grove
Street, right onto Riverdale and proceed straight onto Canal Street
(Inline Plas cs is on le ) follow to drop o at Municipal Lot at Canal
Street at Cornell Street. (Follow PARADE LINE-UP signs)

Center Street to West Canal Street to Lot.
A er you drop o marcher’s please return back the same way you came
to get to route 8 north. Get o at exit 15, le onto main Street, right
onto Water Street and proceed to intersec on of Caroline Street and
Elizabeth Street (Derby Public Library) to pick up marchers (parade end).
The route 8 exit 14 south bound exit ramp will be one lane only. Do
not stopping on the exit ramp to drop o marchers.

 NOTE: Howe Avenue will be closed for line-up between Center Street &
Kneen Street at 7:00 am.
Buses, trucks, re apparatus please use the above access routes to get
to your division.
Fire companies shall have no more than three (3) apparatus in the
parade, this includes support or o cer vehicles.

The parade ends in Derby at the intersec on of Elizabeth Street and

Co age Street.

Parade Route

Start at Howe Avenue in Shelton at Kneen Street.

Kneen Street to Coram Avenue
take right onto Coram Avenue to White Street to Howe Avenue
right onto Howe Avenue to Bridge Street
Le onto Bridge Street into Derby.
Right onto Main Street Derby
Le onto Elizabeth Street
End at Elizabeth Street and Co age Street.
