The word nature means "essential qualities, innate disposition".
Nature may refer to the general realm of various types of living plants
and animals, and in some cases to the processes associated with
inanimate objects–the way that particular types of things exist and
change of their own accord, such as the weather and geology of the
Earth, and the matter and energy of which all these things are
composed.

An ecosystem is a natural unit consisting of all plants, animals and

micro-organism in an area functioning together with all of the physical
factors of the environment. Ecosystems can be permanent or
temporary. It is a unit of interdependent organism which share the
same habitat. Ecosystems usually form a number of food webs.

ecosystem
Food chains describe the eating relationships between
species within an ecosystem or a particular living place. Many
types of food chains or webs are applicable depending on habitat or
environmental factors. Every known food chain begins with a type of
autotroph, whether it be a plant or some kind of unicellular organism.

Cities can work like nature

does…..
To create a cityscape that
works
just like nature does …
Taking nature’s characteristics as a prototype to
create

new cityscapes…

Nature’s characteristics….

- Self-sufficient

- Adapt to CHANGES

- FUNCTION together as a system

Applications
Every building should produce either
“food” or generate energy
Every building
may share what
they produce just
like in a food chain
Every building should have its own
cycle just like a tree changes to
survive the climate
The cityscapes will only work if
everything functions together
Energy:

Sun energy will be collected by solar cells and distributed for

the whole cityscape for the electricity demand. This energy
will be collected and will be stored underground for the
peoples needs (in summer we can collect more and keep it
for the winters need).

Water Usages:

To provide water needs, water recycling is needed especially

to irrigate the farms, sanitary usages, and even for drinking.
The rain water will be stored and then used to irrigate the
farms, the grey water will be recycled and reused and the
sewage water will be used as fertilizers or as a energy
supplier (biogas).
Food and Farming:

The production of food is essential. The idea is to produce

everything we need, and in this way to be self-sufficient.
This will result in a mixed cityscape of urban and arable
land organized in community farms.

Transportation:

Implement and encourage a state of public transportation

system. To optimize the space and to reduce the air and
noise pollution, this public transportation will be all
underground. In this way we can collect the polluted air
and process it to become environmental friendly.
Cityscapes Model
Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature.
It will never fail you.
