Earth Hour is organised by the WWF, a political lobby group. If as a Parliament we participate in a political campaign organised by a political pressure group, then, as a Parliament (where DPS is supposed to be apolitical) we really should get involved in ALL political pressure groups campaigns, and I don't think ANYONE would agree with that. In conclusion, I very much resent and abhor the Parliament taking this action again, despite previous assurances to the contrary. If not, I wo uld appreciate it if Parliament could also observe Human Achievement Hour, which takes place at the same time as Earth Hour (and I think that the obvious contradictions inherent in observing contradictory policies at the same time shows the very real probl em with our Parliament getting politically involved in political camapigns).
