Uno Card Game Rules The deck has of cards of four colors: red, green, blue, and yellow

. With numbers from 0-9. There are three "action" cards in each color, labeled "skip", "draw two", and "reverse". There are also special black action cards, "wild" and "wild draw four". There are two of each colored regular and action card, except for the zero card, which only have one per color. There are four "wild" and "wild draw four" cards each. Both the 6 and the 9 cards are underlined to show the difference between each. Players who make card-play suggestions to the other players must draw two cards from the draw pile. 1. Choose a dealer by having each player pick one card. The person with the highest number is the dealer. Word cards count as zero. 2. The dealer has to shuffle the deck of cards. Seven cards are given out to each player faced down. Stack the remaining cards down to create a draw card pile. 3. Turn over the first card in the draw pile to create a discard pile. This where cards played will be placed. If the exposed card has a special ability, it is treated as if someone played that card, and the special effect occurs (i.e., skip, draw two, reverse, or wild). If the exposed card is a wild draw four, however, it is returned to the deck and the next card is exposed. 4. Have the player to the left of the dealer match some characteristic of the top DISCARD pile card, either the number, color or symbol. They will place this card at the top of the DISCARD pile. If a player plays a wrong card and it is noticed by any of the other players, he or she must take the card back and take two extra cards from the draw pile. Play continues with the next person in turn. 5. If current player doesn't have a card to match the one on the DISCARD pile, he/she must take a card from the DRAW pile. If the card picked up can be played on the DISCARD pile, then the player is free to put it down in the same turn. Otherwise, play moves on to the next person in turn. 6. Alternatively, the player may choose not to play a playable card from his/her hand. If so, the player must draw a card from the DRAW pile. If playable, that card can be put down in the same turn, but the player may not use a card from the hand after the draw. 7. After playing a single card or drawing, the next player clockwise takes a turn, or counterclockwise when a reverse card is used in effect. If the DRAW pile is emptied, the DISCARD pile is shuffled and turned over to take the place of a new DRAW pile. 8.When a player is down to only one card in their hand, that player is required to yell "Uno" to warn other players. If the word ³Uno´ is not said, and another player points out the error, the original player is busted and has to draw two cards from the DRAW pile. The game is over when one player has discarded all of their cards.

If a Wild Draw Four card is played illegally (that is. if the player holds a matching color to one on the discard pile) and the person who plays it is challenged. then the challenger must draw four cards plus an additional two cards for a total of six cards. then the dealer makes the first play. the Reverse card is treated as a Skip card the next player must skip their turn. but the next player must draw four cards and skip their turn. This Draw Four card may only be played if the player holding it doesn't have any card matching the current color. If the Wild Draw Four card has been played illegally (if the player calls the challenge and if it works for you). The next player must his/her turn The order of play is reversed from clockwise to counter-clockwise. or from counter-clockwise to clockwise. the dealer goes first. and play continues in a counterclockwise direction. Wild Acts like a wild. Wild This card represents all four colors. The player has to state which color it will represent for the next player. If there are only two players. then the offending player must draw four cards. The challenge can only be made by the player who is required to pick up the four cards after the Wild Draw Four card is laid. and can be placed on any card. If the initial exposed card in the discard pile is reverse. . It can be played regardless of whether another card is available.Action Card Card Draw Two Skip Reverse Description The next player must draw two cards and lose their turn. the hand must first be shown to the player who has made the challenge. If the card has been correctly played (if the player calls the challenge and if it works against you). then play moves to the right instead of the left. If this card is turned up at the beginning of play.

³Reverse´ ± If going clockwise. With this card you must have no alternative cards to play. The player has to state which color it will represent for the next player. and can be placed on any card. the next player has to skip their turn. ³Draw Two´ ± When a person places this card. . ³Skip´ ± When a player places this card. ´ Wild´ ± This card represents all four colors. the next player will have to pick up two cards. It can be played regardless of whether another card is available. ³Wild Draw Four´ ± This acts just like the wild card except that the next player also has to draw four cards.Cards: Besides the number cards there are several other cards that helps mix up the game. switch to counterclockwise or vice versa.
