To:  Honorable  Ban  Ki  Moon

Re:  Announcing  the  launch  of  THE  NEW  IRAN

Your  Excellency  Ban  Ki  Moon,

Within  the  context  and  position  of  the  United  Nations  and  yourself,  as  Secretary  General  of  the  organization,  the
conditions   and   geopolitical   shifts   in   the   Middle   East,   and   the   important   and   fateful   role   of   the   international
community:

We   are   proud   to   announce   the   launch   of   The   New   Iran,   an   organization   within   the   Iranian   opposition.   We   are
delighted  to  inform  you  of  this  initiative  that  has  consolidated  almost  two  thousand  political  activists  both  inside
and  outside  Iran,  all  of  whom  have,  over  the  years,  participated  in  protests  and  to  that  end,  remain  dedicated.  Our
aim  is  the  ongoing  struggle  for  democracy  and  freedom  in  Iran;  an  Iran  whose  issues  are  surmountable  and  can  see
a  brighter  future.

As  you  know,  the  regime  ruling  Iran  currently,  has  not  been  elected  by  the  people.  For  many  years  human  rights
organizations  from  within  the  Iranian  community  have  worked  side  by  side  with  international  organizations  such  as
the   U.N.   High   Commission   on   Human   Rights   where   human   rights   violations   of   the   Iranian   regime   have   been
reported.  The  devastation  that  has  been  unleashed  by  the  Islamic  Republic,  which  is  built  on  tyranny,  is  not  only
stifling  Iranian  society  but  the  Middle  East  and  is  indeed  now  rampant  all  over  the  world.

The  New  Iran,  whose  launch  has  been  announced,  as  you  can  see  in  this  link,  is  founded  on  five  principles  which
ĞŵƉŚĂƐŝnjĞƐƚŚĂƚ/ƌĂŶ͛ƐƉƌĞƐĞŶƚĚŝůĞŵŵĂĐĂŶďĞƐŽůǀĞĚŽŶůLJƚŚƌŽƵŐŚƌĞŐŝŵĞĐŚĂŶŐĞĂŶĚƚŚĂƚĐŚĂŶŐĞƐƉĞĂƌŚĞĂĚĞĚ
and   brought   to   fruition   by   Iranians,   for   Iranians.   However,   we   remain   concerned   about   the   /ƌĂŶŝĂŶ ƌĞŐŝŵĞ͛Ɛ
accessibility  to  weapons  of  mass  destruction,  violations  against  basic  human  rights,  and  further  abuse  of  Iranians
and  Iranian  society.

We  remain  committed  to  the  Universal  Declaration  of  Human  Rights  based  on  fundamental  principles  such   as  the
ƐĞƉĂƌĂƚŝŽŶŽĨƌĞůŝŐŝŽŶĂŶĚƐƚĂƚĞ͕ĚĞŵŽĐƌĂĐLJĂŶĚĨƌĞĞĚŽŵ͘dŚĞEĞǁ/ƌĂŶ͛ƐŵĂŶĚĂƚĞŝƐƚŽĐƌĞĂƚĞĂŶĂůů-‐inclusive  and
non-‐ŝĚĞŽůŽŐŝĐĂůŽƌŐĂŶŝnjĂƚŝŽŶĨŽƌƚŚĞĐŽŶƐŽůŝĚĂƚŝŽŶŽĨƚŚĞ/ƌĂŶŝĂŶŽƉƉŽƐŝƚŝŽŶĂŶĚĨŽƌďŽůƐƚĞƌŝŶŐƚŚĞ/ƌĂŶŝĂŶƉĞŽƉůĞ͛Ɛ
struggle  for  freedom  and  democracy.  For  now,  with  detailed  planning,  we  will  work  to  support  those  efforts.  Also
for  the  future  of  Iran,  especially  the  interim  period,  we  are  able  to  present  viable  suggestions  and  methods  as  well.

Many   like   us   believe   that   the   future   leadership   in   Iran   will   be   elected,   following   the   removal   of   the   Islamic
Republic,  through  a  judicious  and  free  process,  and  will  be  held  by  Iranians,  for  Iranians.  As  such,  we  predict  that
many   of   our   compatriots   will   join   us   in   our   undertakings.   Till   then,   as   ever,   the   international   community   must
continue  to  recognize  that  the  current  /ƌĂŶŝĂŶƌĞŐŝŵĞƌĞŵĂŝŶƐĂƉĂƌƚĂŶĚĂŐĂŝŶƐƚ/ƌĂŶ͛ƐŶĂƚŝŽŶĂůŝŶƚĞƌĞƐƚƐ͘tĞǁŝůů
continue  to  keep  yourself  and  the  United  Nations  informed  and  abreast  of  our  continued  efforts.  We  hope  to  be  a
constructive  and  effective  partner  for  the  international  community,  the  Iranian  people  and  their  interests.

With  Best  Wishes,

The  New  Iran
