Spring has sprung and just like the daffodils BUYERS are starting to "spring up" all over! Based on reports from a number of market centers and the local flash reports, activity is increasing. It is interesting to note that this activity has not yet translated to written contracts in some markets, other than the Charlotte area which is seeing some record written volume in several market centers. With interest rates remaining low, it is truly the time for buyers to get off the fence. The combination of great rates and high inventory will definitely make 2011 the "good old days" of home purchasing! Thanks to many who have pioneered eEdge in the Carolinas! These systems will be the greatest thing since lockboxes to hit our industry (WOW)! Speaking of innovation, some of us were around when MLS books were first invented-then it was cell phones--then it was MLS on line--now it is DotLoop! Yes, there were always problems getting adjusted to those systems and getting the kinks out, but somehow as agents we persevered. Unlike those other innovations, eEdge is ALL OURS, and will provide a competitive "edge" if learned thoroughly and used wisely. Don't be a dinosaur! Speaking of change, we recently made our leadership aware that we--Keller Williams Realty--are now the largest real estate franchise (by agent count) in the Carolinas Region. In fact, it's not even close! At the end of 2010, a tally by internet sites showed that we are the #1 real estate franchise with 3700 agents in the Carolinas! Congratulations. Combine that with our recent KWRI announcement that we are now the #2 franchise in the U.S., and you have plenty to talk about with your clients. Take a lot of pride in those accomplishments---we take a lot of pride in you, your leadership, and the cultures you have created! Thanks!

Family Reunion 2011 Aha’s
Here are some of the Carolina’s 2011 Family Reunion Aha’s: • • • • • • • • • • • • Daniel Pink’s “What is your Sentence?”- What one sentence would others use to describe you? Don’t live in your 80%!!!!!!!!! Mark Willis- “What you focus on will expand…” Feed your database! Especially now with E-Edge, you should be feeding your database with at least 5 contacts a day. Don’t be afraid to say the words “Would you mind if my Team Leader gave you a call?” to a potential recruit. Buckle down and learn the mastery basics. Focus on the 4 points and models. Lead Generation- it’s a conscious decision! Everyone should keep a KW notebook, take it everywhere with you and constantly record new Aha’s. Last year a Las Vegas Market Center contributed the most money to KWCares- they did this even though it was their worst market to date. Ben Kinney- 40,000 agents left the Real Estate business last year. Start calling those agents that are no longer active. You may be able to use some of their old business. From the Risk Management Class- make sure your office is covered in all areas to include social media as well (ie. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) To encourage attendance at Family Reunion an Alaska Market Center had their MCA ask each agent “How much do you want to go into your Family Reunion account?” from each of their closings. This helped the agents save small amounts overtime and be able to afford to come to Family Reunion. Everyone needs a “To Don’t List” this helps keep them on track of what needs to be done, and what they do not need to waste their time doing.
