About Us
“VENUS” was established in the year 2003, to provide high class international standard
logistics services to exporters and importers. Without losing any time “VENUS” has not only
achieved that objective, it is continually evolving as a dynamic and recognized trade name,
providing comprehensive air and sea freight and all related services.

“VENUS” has its principal office and off-dock facilities/warehouses right at the seaport in
Karachi – the main gateway of air and sea freight movement – from where it handles
worldwide consolidations / deconsolidations as the outbound / inbound distribution point for
its network of offices in all the major cities of Pakistan. Internationally, “VENUS” has an
extensive network of Associate offices by virtue of which it is ideally placed to handle
worldwide outbound/inbound integrated services whether they are port to port, door to door
or desk to desk.

For us service is much more than delivering a piece of cargo from one place to another. We
consider logistics as that part of the supply chain process that plans, implements and controls
effective flow and storage of goods, services and related information from the point of origin
to the point of destination in order to meet customer’s requirements.

Our job is to make sure that from the raw material to finished goods, sitting on the retail
shelves, we provide necessary services and information so that our clients have the
competitive advantage in the management of supply chain.

International Network of Integrated Services

“VENUS” has its principal office at Karachi, the main commercial hub and gateway of
Pakistan for air and sea freight movement. With adequate warehouse facilities in Karachi,
right at the seaports (KPT and port Qasim), handling over 3000 TEUs annually “VENUS” is
well poised to serve as the distribution point for sea and air shipments and consolidations
originating from its seven offices strategically located in all the major cities of the country.
Internationally, “VENUS” has an extensive network of Associate offices by virtue of which it
is ideally placed to handle worldwide outbound and inbound integrated services whether they
are port to port, door to door or desk to desk.

Service
We provide total transportation and logistics services all over the world, including
Afghanistan.

Domestic Overland Transportation

We offer domestic overland transportation by road, bonded as well as un-bonded:

(1) For export; from shipper's premises to dry ports and to seaports and airports.

(2) For imports, from seaports and airports to dry ports and to consignees’
premises.

Projects Handling

Our services include route surveys, transport scheduling, cost estimation, port handling
inspections, customs clearance, heavy load transportation, loading and unloading and proper
placement of projects.

Afghan Transit Movement

“VENUS” is well placed in handling in-transit movement through Pakistan from Karachi
Airport / Seaports to any major point in Afghanistan. We handle all types of shipments
bound for Afghanistan, including International Security Assistance Forces (ISAF) Cargo, Aid
Cargo, Diplomatic Consignments and Commercial Cargo. As we have the experience and
know this market hence our services for Afghanistan are fast, efficient and economical.

Pakistan’s natural strategic location offers the shortest route to all land locked markets up
north, including Afghanistan. Pakistan has three warm water ports – Karachi Port , Port
Qasim and Gawader which interact with ships and goods from far and near. Gwadar Port is
going to be in operation soon.

Due to the ongoing political and economic situation in Afghanistan, relief cargo, charitable
donations, supplies for the US Army and for ISAF Forces and Commercial Cargoes are being
consigned to Afghanistan.
“VENUS” has carried out research on the different transport possibilities. We can arrange
in-transit movement for Kabul, Kandahar, Mazar-e-Sharif, Herat, Jalalabad and Bagram.
Besides inland transport, we can arrange pick-up from any point of origin through our
worldwide Associates.

As Afghanistan is rebuilding, the trade and logistics possibilities are tremendous. It should,
however, be kept in mind that there is no proper infrastructure available over there. Road
Freight sector is not properly organized and is under-development; services being offered by
the private goods transport companies are not reliable, while transit time is substantial.

Presently there is only one commercial venture of Pakistan Army known as National
Logistics Cell which carries Afghan transit goods other than Government owned Pakistan
Railways' discretionary rights to move commercial cargo under Transit Trade Agreement.
Pakistan Railways, however, only haul the consignments from Karachi to Peshawar and
outsource arrangements for onward journey.

There are various categories given below under which Afghan Transit Cargo is classified:

1. Commercial Cargo is moved to its destination under the Afghan Transit Trade Agreement.
2. Non-Commercial Cargo is moved under Pakistan Customs General Order # 12 and covers
consignments for coalition forces through their suppliers.
3. Logistical Support Cargo is for the US Forces under US Diplomatic Privilege.
4. Reconstruction & Government Assistance Cargo includes Relief Cargo and Reconstruction
Material. Movement under NGO's Government Assistance, Donations and Aid come under
this category.

The specific formalities for each have to be followed carefully to ensure smooth processing.
Please note that no insurance company is prepared to provide Transit Comprehensive
Insurance Coverage, hence the consignment if entrusted to an organization like “VENUS”
will minimize the impact of any uncertain events.

In the above stated scenario, the prospective user must rely on a local partner that has in-
depth knowledge and resources to overcome the bottlenecks. Here you can rely on “VENUS”
as a trustworthy partner having presence in the market and is familiar with both Pakistan &
Afghanistan.

“VENUS” is well equipped and also very well updated with all the formalities and various
Government procedures required for shipping, customs clearance and transportation from
Karachi Port / Port Qasim to destinations in Afghanistan. “VENUS” has offices in major
cities of Pakistan including Peshawar and Quetta and in Afghanistan at Kabul and
Kandahar.

“VENUS” will be glad to serve you. Please do contact us for any of your transportation and
logistics needs via Pakistan to the world.
CUSTOMS CLEARANCE

We realize that customs clearance is the most technical part of freight forwarding. We
therefore give due importance to this service keeping in view the specific needs of our
customers. We have our own customs house broker’s license and have vast and wide
experience to deal with all kinds of difficult situations in this field. For every customs
clearance assignment our main objective is to satisfy our local clients as well as overseas
partners. Our professional and dedicated team of field workers work with full commitment to
clear all types of goods, including those that need special handling, within the minimum time
required.

Same Day Customs Clearance

We have provision for same day clearance for export ocean and air freight shipments,
provided all documents are supplied well in time. Likewise, for perishable items being time
sensitive, we have provision for extra ordinary handling.

Purchase Orders Follow-Up (especially for exports from Pakistan)

We can serve by producing status reports, shipment receipt reports, shipment inspection &
quantity verification as per purchase order, shipment sailing plan, shipment arrival advice,
EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) management, shipping documents collection & dispatch
and other status reports required by the consignees.

Why Us
Our commitment to service goes beyond the expectations of what shippers and consignees
expect from the service providers. We accomplish this by staying focused on our following
core assets:

• Our People
• Our Systems
• Our Culture
• Our Customers

Our People

By recruiting, motivating and retaining professional and experienced personnel who

understand and pursue the business philosophy, we believe, enables us to maintain our status
and goals in the market. Our product is quality services and it is our people who make it
happen. Our emphasis is therefore on hiring the right people and inculcating in them our
culture for a successful career in the company.
Our Systems

“VENUS” takes control of its own destiny by directing and managing the systems to suit its
tailor-made transparent logistics plans, set in consultation with its valued customers. Equal
emphasis is given to timely, accurate and updated information to our customers so that they
have the required data to successfully manage the movement of their cargo.

Our Culture

We believe that successful companies have a unique culture and they need to work hard to
preserve it. Our tuned culture is to exceed our customers’ expectations and provide our own
people the facilities and opportunities to polish their careers. Our environment breeds
success, which is also apparent as our people work harder and respectively grow faster. This
simple philosophy has worked for us in the past and shall do so in future too.

Our Customers

Our success is directly related to our client retention. We have just the right strength of staff
who concentrates its energies to satisfy the existing clientele, instead of going after new
customers.

Our idea of growth is to have just the right number of clients whom we can serve properly.
We know that the existence of “VENUS” is because of our customers.

CONCLUSION

To summarize, while choosing a logistics provider, the three most critical factors are:
 committed people,
 the systems employed by them and
 the culture (attitude towards service) of the organization.

These three elements are required to work in harmony. At “VENUS” we concentrate on the
above and also ensure that our customers get the same level of quality services on a consistent
basis.

In other words at “VENUS” we have the systems, facilities, and most important of all, the
people, to satisfy customers' needs consistently with quality services at competitive prices.
