SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Petersburg National

5 Battlefield Boundary Modification Act’’. 6 7 8 9 10
SEC. 2. PETERSBURG NATIONAL BATTLEFIELD.

(a) BOUNDARY MODIFICATION.— (1) IN
GENERAL.—The

boundary of Petersburg

National Battlefield is modified to include the land generally depicted on the map entitled ‘‘Petersburg

OF MAP.—The

map described

in paragraph (1) shall be on file and available for inspection in the appropriate offices of the National Park Service. (3) ACQUISITION
OF LAND.—The

Secretary of

the Interior (referred to in this section as the ‘‘Secretary’’) may acquire the land or interests in land described in paragraph (1) from willing sellers only by donation, purchase with donated or appropriated funds, exchange, or transfer. (4) ADMINISTRATION.—The Secretary shall administer any land or interests in land acquired under this subsection as part of the Petersburg National Battlefield in accordance with applicable laws (including regulations). (b) ADMINISTRATIVE JURISDICTION TRANSFER.— (1) IN
GENERAL.—The

Secretary may transfer

to the Secretary of the Army administrative jurisdiction over approximately 1.171 acres of land under the jurisdiction of the Department of the Interior within the boundary of the Petersburg National Battlefield, in exchange for the transfer by the Secretary of the Army to the Secretary of administra-

(2) MAP.— (A) DESCRIPTION.—The land to be transferred under this subsection is depicted on the map entitled ‘‘Petersburg National Battlefield Proposed Transfer of Administrative Jurisdiction’’, numbered 325/80,081, and dated October 2009. (B) AVAILABILITY.—The map described in subparagraph (A) shall be available for public inspection in the appropriate offices of the National Park Service. (3) CONDITIONS (A) NO

(C) MANAGEMENT.—The land transferred to the Secretary under paragraph (1) shall be— (i) included within the boundary of the Petersburg National Battlefield; and (ii) administered as part of the Petersburg National Battlefield in accordance with applicable laws (including regulations).
