Vet’s Roll Youth Leadership Project 4-H Softball Information
Attention, sports fans! 4-H softball commitment forms and fees are due to the UWEX Office by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 18 – no exceptions! Watch the Rock County UWEX website for specific information on the softball season and tournament dates! Shane Hutter, Newark Pioneers 4-H My leadership project this year is something very special to me. I am trying to raise enough money to send at least one WWII Vet on the VetsRoll II trip to Washington DC to see their monuments. I am doing this in memory of my Grandfather, Wayne Hutter, who served in WWII (Navy) and passed away on May 10, 2009 on Mothers Day. I am also doing this in honor of all my family members past and present, such as my Uncle Sgt. Richard Stanek who has served 17 years in the army and has done 3 years in Iraq and in June will be heading there for a 4th deployment. VetsRoll is sponsored by Finnegan's RV in South Beloit. I am looking for any contributions big or small to help reach my goal of at least $600.00 (will pay for one vet to go on this trip and of course more would be awesome). Also I am keeping track of contributions given in memory or honor of a vet for my project. Please help me reach my goal by contacting me at 362-5171, if you are willing to help.
