TASK 1

Scheduling of games. 

Identify how will you determine the winner and looser of the following online games.

A. ACTIVITY

1. When the enemy team seems to be unstoppable, the worst thing you could do is have your

entire team running around on their own. If you want to stand a chance at pulling it back

together, you need to stick together. The only way you’re going to be able to win in team fights
is

if you’re all together.

If you are playing with random people, it’s harder to get everybody to stick together. If
somebody

goes off on their own, don’t go chasing after them, instead just stay with the bigger pack of

players to increase your chances to win.

There are a few reasons why sticking together can help you to pull back games. Firstly, if you

stick together, you won’t have to worry about any of your teammates getting killed off by the

enemy team. Secondly, you may actually be able to win a team fight if you all work together

coherently.

2. The Versus Battle is a game mode exclusive to the Builder Base, where two players attack

each other's builder base at the same time.

Winning a Versus Battle gains you resource rewards. To win all the loot for a particular set, you'll

have to win three times; the third win netting slightly more than the first and second wins (at

lower trophy counts the additional loot from the third win is significantly greater). After that, Page | 2

have to wait 22 hours (or use gems) before being given another round of resource rewards.

3. Candy Crush Saga. It is a stat that is calculated during and after a level. Score will vary every

time you complete a level, and every level has a score requirement to pass. Scores are normally

a multiple of 20; however, getting a champion title gives the player a +10% bonus to the score

upon finishing a level or running out of moves, making it possible to earn scores that are not

multiples of 20. Setting off a jelly fish gives 250 points, which can yield scores that are multiples

of 10.

However, many people tend to get the score requirement but fail to complete the required
tasks

(depending on the type of level). Timed and Moves levels are the only types of levels that only

have a score requirement without completing other tasks because score is the task in these

levels.

Stars are obtained based on the score the player has at the end of the level. One is the

minimum and is mandatory to pass the level, while three is the maximum.

B. ANALYSIS

1. I think it's Dota 2 at a glance, both Dota 2 and CS:GO aren’t too different. They both have 5v5

format tournaments, a good combination of strategy, skill, and teamplay, and since their

releases in 2011 and 2013 respectively both games have peaked at around 1.3m concurrent

players. They’ve also had healthy viewing figures on Twitch, with well over a million viewers at

their peaks.

However, the collective figures for the amount of money awarded in official Valve prize pools in

each game’s professional tournaments are where one notable difference lies.

2. For me, Double elimination tournaments are more likely to culminate in the two very best

teams squaring off in the grand finale and allow less successful teams to duke it out for lower

prize tiers. His reasoning is grounded in his frequent collaboration with esports clubs, which

hope for a fair reward for their hard work and dedication on the battlefield. Consequently,
teams,

too, prefer tournaments with formats that more accurately reflect their capabilities.
