Re: Media Program Evaluation

In collaboration with your media specialists, Ms. D. and Mrs. E., I recently conducted an evaluation of
the school’s media center. We used the GA DOE 2010 Library Media Program Evaluation rubric. The
rubric consists of nineteen categories. Each category has three possible levels of proficiency (basic,
proficient, and exemplary. In this memo you will find the results of the evaluation. I have developed
action plans for all areas that fall in the basic category and an action plan for one proficient area.

Results

Based upon the rubric, there are six areas where the media program falls into the basic category,
seven areas considered proficient, and the remaining six categories are exemplary. The findings and
action plans are listed in the chart below.
