an orange mound inside and “De Luxe Corn Bits” in red. The bottom and lid have an orange
bowl with an orange mound inside and a green and yellow checked background. The ends are
yellow and green with D L Corn Bits in green, red, and white.

Condition

Condition is OK.

2 Box

Red and white cardboard box, 1 5” x 1” x 1.25”. On the top and bottom it says “Star Scouring
Pads” in black and white. On the sides there are a skillet, scouring pad, and “Star Scouring
Pads” in black. On the ends it says “Star Scouring Pads” in black and white.

Condition

The right end has a .75” tear and the top and bottom are dented on the left lower end.

3 Box

Black cardboard box, .75” x .5” x 1.25”. There is a white star on the top and bottom. On the
sides it says “Star” in red at the top, there is a star in the middle, and it says “Soap Powder” in
green at the bottom. On the ends it says “Star” in yellow and “Soap Powder” in green.

Condition

The top lid is torn on the front, back, and right edges.

4 Box

Brown, green and yellow cardboard box 2.25” x .625” x 1”. On the top and bottom it says “Rex
Wax” in white. On the sides and ends it says “Rex Wax Paper” in white.

Condition

The top back edge is torn and dented on the left end.

5 Box

Red, white and yellow cardboard box 1.5” x .5” x 1”. On the top and bottom it says “Ace Soap
Pads” in blue. On the sides it says “New! Ace Soap Pads” in blue and white. On the ends it
says “Ace Soap Pads” in blue and white. There are four soap pads with pink soap inside the box.
Condition

The front top edge and back corner are torn. The back left edge is torn near the bottom.

6 Box

Buff cardboard box 1” x .5” x l.5”. There are red lines around the edges on the top and bottom.
On the sides a stacks of yellow cookies and “Diamond Coconut Cookies” in gold and green. On
the ends are yellow cookies spilling from the end of a box and “diamond’ in white.

Condition

Condition is OK.

7 Box

Yellow cardboard box .75” x .5” x 1”. There is a red checked pattern on the top and bottom.
On the sides and ends there is a blue line in the center with “Diamond” above it and “Sugar”
below it in red.

Condition

The left end of the box is torn at the top. The bottom is torn and creased so it will not close.

8 Box

Blue cardboard box .875” x .625” x 1.125”. The top and bottom are white. The sides have a
sailboat at the top and “Baby Soap” in white at the bottom. The left end is yellow and the right
end has been torn off. There is a bar of soap inside with illegible writing on it.

Condition

The box is dirty and torn on the edges. The right end has been torn off. The bottom has
something spilled on it on the right end and “10” written in pencil in the center.

9 Box

Orange cardboard box 1” x .625” x 1.25”. There is a green diamond on the top and bottom. On
the sides it says “Diamond” in green at the top, there are orange crackers in the center, and
“Crackers” in red at the bottom. There are orange diamonds on the ends.

Condition

Condition is OK.

10 Box
Multicolored cardboard box 1” x .625” x 1.25”. There are pink stripes on the top and bottom.
On the sides it says “De Luxe” in red at the top, there are a white bowl and plate with a spoon in
the bowl in the middle, and “Wheat Flakes” in blue at the bottom. On the ends there is a pink
rectangle on the left and red stripes on the right; it says “De Luxe” in red at the top left and
“Wheat Flakes” in blue at the bottom.

Condition

The left end is torn at the top.

11 Box

Yellow cardboard box .75” x .5” x 1.75”. On the top and bottom are two red arcs and “Rex” in
green. On the sides are three red circles and “Rex Soap Powder” in green and white. On the ends
it says “Rex” at the top in green, there is a drawing of a plate, cup, and glass, a bar code, and
“Rex” in red at the bottom.

Condition

Condition is OK

12 Box

Yellow cardboard box .875” x .625” x l”. There are green stripes on the top and bottom. On the
sides its says “De Luxe” in red at the top, there is a white bowl with two scoops of ice cream in
it, and “Vanilla Ice Cream” in red and green at the bottom. On the sides it says “De Luxe” in red
at the top, there is a yellow clover on a triangle, and red stripes in the background.

Condition

Condition is OK

13 Box

Pink cardboard box 2” x .75´x 2.25”. On the top it says “Coets Cotton Squares A Cosmetic
Essential” in black. On the front side is a drawing of a lady, beneath it says “Coets Quilted
Cotton Squares” in black, the right side is open. On the back side it says “Coets Quilted Cotton
Squares,” followed by illegible writing, and “Personal Products Corporation Packaged by Merry
Mfg. Co. Cinti.” The right end is partially open. There is a drawing of a woman applying
cosmetics on the left end. There is cotton inside the box.

Condition

The top is torn on the back side.

14 Can
White tin can with pink, blue, lavender, and gold stripes and a lavender plastic top, 1.25” x 1” x
1.875.” On the sides it says, “Pic a Puff, Cosmetic Cotton, Johnson & Johnson.” On the ends
there is a drawing of a woman applying makeup and “Pic a Puff,” illegible writing, “Johnson &
Johnson, New Brunswick, New Jersey.” On the top it says, “Pull Out Tear Off.” There is a
small hole and cotton balls are visible inside.

Condition

The tin bottom is dirty.

15 Can

Blue tin can with a round top, 1.25” x 1” x 1.125.” The top is .75” in diameter and .5” high. On
the front side there is a drawing of a baby in a tub; it says “Z.B.T. Baby Powder with Olive Oil”
in blue on a pink background; on the bottom it says “Active Ingredients Talc Olive Oil.” On the
back side is a drawing of a woman pouring powder on a baby lying on a mat, some illegible
writing, and “Does not Contain Zinc Searate or Boric Acid, Glenbook Laboratories, Division of
Sterling Drug Inc, Packaged by Merry Mfg. Co. Cinti, O,” on a pink background. On the ends
are drawings of four babies playing. On the top it says “Z.B.T. Baby Powder” in white. It feels
like there is powder inside the can.

Condition

There is powder residue on the top. The tin bottom is dirty. There is a large brown stain at the
bottom on the back side.

16 Box

Yellow cardboard box, .625” x .5” x 1.25.” There are orange vertical stripes on the front and
back, with “De Luxe” in green at the top and “Tea Bags” in yellow at the bottom. On the ends is
a drawing in green of a tea bag and a tea cup on a saucer with steam rising from it. There are
four orange triangles on the top and bottom. There are tea bags inside the box.

Condition

One corner is slightly torn at the top.

17 Box

Yellow cardboard box with red squares, .75” x .75” x 1.75.” On the sides and ends it says “Ace
All-Purpose Cleaner” in red and green. On the sides there is also a small drawing of a scrub pad.
On the top and bottom there are a green tree and “Ace” in red.

Condition

The left end is torn near the top.


18 Box

Yellow cardboard box, 1.5” x .625” x 1.125.” On the sides it says “Star” in white on a blue
background, and “Cleanser” in red at the bottom. On the sides, top, and bottom it says “Star”
in white on a blue background.

Condition

Condition is OK.

19 Box

White cardboard box 1.5´x .5” x 1.875.” On the front side there is a drawing of a woman in
a blue top on the right side; it says “Band-Aid Trademark” at the top in red; “Sheer Strips, Blend
with your Skin” in blue and “Johnson & Johnson” in red at the bottom. On the back side it says
“5 Adhesive Bandages, Band-Aid Trademark, Sheer Plastic Strips” in blue and red at the top;
there is a drawing of a child, man and woman in the center; “Do not Apply too Tightly” and
other instructions and Johnson & Johnson, New Brunswick, N. J.” in blue and red at the bottom.
The final line of print is obscured by brown stains. On the right end is the continuation of the
drawing on the front side. The left end is blank. On the top it says “Band-Aid Trademark, Sheer
Strips, Blend with your Skin” in red and blue. The printing on the bottom is incomplete because
the bottom is torn. There are band aids inside the box.

Condition

The right side is loose at the top. The back side is stained at the bottom. The bottom is torn.
There is a brown stain at the bottom of the left side

20 Box

Blue and white cardboard box, 1.5” x .5” x 1.5.” On the front side there is a drawing of a gauze
pad at the bottom; it says “Johnson & Johnson, Steri-Pad, Gauze Pads” in white, red, and blue.
On the back the text is the same, plus “For Dollies and Cowboys” in white; there are drawings of
adhesive tape and a hand with adhesive tape on it. On the ends it says “Johnson & Johnson” at
the top in red and there is illegible blue print beneath it. On the top it says “Johnson & Johnson,
Steri-Pad, Gauze Pads” in red and white. On the bottom it says “Johnson & Johnson, Packed by
Merry Packaging Co, Cincinnati, Ohio” in red, white, and blue. There are cue tips inside the
box.

Condition

The top is torn in the front. There are brown stains on the bottom of the front side and on the
bottom. There is a crack on the right of the front side.

21 Box
Cardboard box, 1.5” x .375” x .75”, which had “Diamond” three times in red on the front and
back sides, which also have drawings of an ear of corn, a smiling boy, and a bowl of cereal The
bowl of cereal is also depicted on the ends. There are green and yellow stripes on the top and
bottom.

Condition

There is a .5” tear at the top of the front side .5” from the left end. There is a small nick in the
middle of the front of the top.

22 Box

White cardboard box with blue and red dots, 1.75” x 1.75” x .75.” The front has an arc torn
from the bottom half and paper napkins are visible inside. On the back it says, “Scotkin 2-ply
Scott Paper Napkins lovely looking and strong even when wet,” in white on a blue background
plus illegible writing at the bottom. On the top and bottom it says,
“Scotkins strong even when wet.” On the ends it says, “Scotkins 2-ply napkins by Scott.”

Condition

The section with the arc is torn unevenly and slightly bashed in. The box is dirty and creased on
the front and back.

23 Box

White cardboard box with blue and red lines in squares, 3” x 1.5” x .75.” The top has an oval
torn from it and a tissue is visible inside. The bottom has 9 drawings of people using tissues at
the top and bottom and in the middle says, “Scotties- the Wet-Strength tissues that do more …do
it better.” On the sides and ends it says, “White Scotties Facial Tissue by Scott.”

Condition

The back side is torn .75” from the left. The bottom side is creased .75” from the right and
the flap is creased where it enters the box. The left corners on the bottom are nicked.

24 Box

White and red cardboard box, 1.75” x .5”x .5.” On the front and back it says “Lovelier hands by
Farr Emery Boards.” On the top of the front is a .5” flap that has “55” written in pencil. On the
top it says, “Made by Farr Manicure Manufacturing Co. Packaged by Merry Manufacturing Co.
Cincinnati, Ohio, Better Emery Boards.” On the bottom it says, “Better Emery Boards,” plus
illegible writing. The right end is red and the left end is white.

Condition
The box is dirty. The ends unevenly folded. The part of the front with “55” on it in pencil is
creased.

25 Box

Round cardboard box, 1.5” in diameter, with a clear plastic lid. On the lid it says, “My Merry
Face Powder.” There is tan powder inside.

Condition

The box is dirty.

26 Paper Towels

Roll of paper towels .75” in diameter and 2” tall. The wrapper says, “Scot Towels Pink,” plus
other illegible writing in white on a blue background. Above and below the writing are drawings
of people cleaning with towels.

Condition

The wrapper is extensively torn.

27 Metal Spool

White metal spool, 1.5” in diameter, with flesh-colored tape on it. On the top and bottom it says
in blue, “Adhesive Tape, Johnson & Johnson, Made in U.S.A.”

Condition

The spool is slightly dirty.

28 Card Table

Olive card table 2.5” square with 1.75” folding legs. A floral design is impressed on the top. On
the bottom it says, “A Renwal Product Made in U.S.A. No. 108.”

Condition

The table is dirty. One corner of the top has black stains from a liquid.

29 Box

Black cardboard box, 1.875” x .75” x .75”, which says “Napkins” in white on the top. There is
an open oval on the top and napkins are visible inside.

Condition
All of the edges are torn. The bottom is torn at the right end and the right end is almost
completely torn off.

30 Tray

Blue metal tray with a red rim, 3.125” x 2.” There are paintings of apples, grapes, bananas, and
a pineapple on top.

Condition

The top is dirty and scratched on the border on the bottom right side. The bottom is dirty, rusted
on the lower left side, and has something sticky on the right lower corner.

31 Bottle

Glass bottle with a yellow plastic top, .75” x .5” at the base, 2” tall, with a cap .5” in diameter.

Condition

The bottle is dirty. There is a brown residue on the bottom inside, and something brown and
sticky spilled on the outside of the bottom.

32 Bottle

Glass bottle, .5” in diameter at the bottom, 1.875” tall, and .25” in diameter at the top. A black
label says, “Windex Spray,” in yellow plus other illegible writing.

Condition

The bottle is dirty and something red is spilled on the bottom. The label is torn at the top.

33 Bottle

Glass bottle, .375” in diameter at the bottom, 1.375” tall, and .25” in diameter at the top. There
is a metal band beneath the opening at the top. The body has a swirly pattern.

Condition

The bottle is dirty and has a brown stain inside the opening at the top.

34 Saucepans

Set of two silver saucepans, .625” in diameter at the bottom, .625” tall, and 1” in diameter at the
top. There are lips on two sides and a .375” handle.

Condition
The outside of one is dirty, there is a brown stain on the bottom inside, and scratches on the
outside of the bottom. The other one is in good condition except for a small rust spot on the
bottom of the inside.

35 Roaster

Silver roaster, 1” in diameter at the bottom, .75” high, and 1.125” in diameter at the top, with a
top 1.125” in diameter. The top has a handle on the top .5” in diameter. “1P2” is etched in the
middle of the bottom, and “1P1” is etched on the inside of the cover.

Condition

The roaster has brown residue inside and is scratched on the bottom. The top is scratched on the
top and has brown residue around the handle.

36 Clock

Brown wooden clock, .5” at the bottom, .25” wide and 1” tall, with a rounded top. The hands of
the clock are at 5 o’clock.

Condition

It has pocked shellac on the back, a nick on the left side below the face of the clock, and the
shellac is worn off on the top.

37 Frying pans

Set of two frying pans. One is .75” in diameter with a .5” handle and “1P1” etched on the
bottom. The other is .875” in diameter with a .375” handle and “1P2” etched on the bottom
Both have two lips.

Condition

Both have scratches on the bottom. The larger one has small black dots and dirt at the base of
the outside.

38 Cardboard band

The front is 3.75” long and .625” high. The back is 4” long with overlapping notched ends.
The front has six colored sections for “Diamond Roundies, Diamond Cones, Diamond Bar,
Diamond Lemon Slices, and Diamond Candy Balls.” The back is white and has “5 PG 0029” in
blue at the left end.

Condition
The back is slightly dirty.

39 Knives

Set of four metal knives, 1.75” long.

Condition

All are dirty. Two are discolored and one is bent at the top.

40 Spoons

Set of three metal spoons 1.375” long.

Condition

All are dirty and discolored.

41 Forks

Set of three metal forks 1.5” long.

Condition

All are dirty and discolored.

42 Glasses

Set of three yellow plastic glasses, .75” in diameter at the base, 1.5” tall, and 1” in diameter at
the top.

Condition

Two are slightly dirty and one has many black stains inside.

43 Plates

Set of four light green plates, 1.75” in diameter, with a scalloped pattern on the rim. Each has a
number on the bottom beginning “61-492-1K’ followed by “1, 2, 3 or 4.”

Condition

The plates are slightly dirty.

44 Plates
Set of six light green plates, 1.25” in diameter, with a scalloped pattern on the rim. Each has a
number on the bottom “61-408 1K” followed by “25, 26, 27, 28, 29, or 30.”

Condition

The plates are slightly dirty. One has a scratch in the center.

45 Plates

Set of six blue plates, 1.25” in diameter, with a scalloped pattern on the rim. Each has a number
on the bottom “61-401 1K” followed by “13, 14, 15, 16, 17, or 18,”

Condition

The plates are slightly dirty.

46 Plate

Red plate, 1.5” in diameter. On the bottom it says “Made in Hong Kong.”

Condition

The plate has scratches on the top and is slightly dirty.

47 Plates

Set of six red plates, 1.25” in diameter, with a scalloped pattern on the rim. Each has a number
on the bottom “61-483 1K” followed by “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6.”

Condition

The plates are dirty, especially in the center.

48 Plates

Set of five red plates, 1´in diameter, with a scalloped pattern on the rim. Each has a number on
the bottom “61-483 1K´followed by “2, 3, 4, 5, or 6.”

Condition

“61-483 1K4” is dirty on the bottom.

Telephone

Green telephone, .5” x ,625” x .5”, with a black dial and a red string to which a .75” earphone is
attached. On the bottom it says, “England.”
Condition

The paint is chipped in many places on both the telephone and earphone.

49 Pitcher

Plastic aqua pitcher, .75” in diameter at the base, 1.625” tall, and .5” in diameter at the top.

Condition

The pitcher is dirty outside and inside. The bottom does not rest flat because the seam on the
bottom is raised.

50 Serving spoons

Set of three white plastic serving spoons, 2.25” long. On the back it says “Merry Mfg. Co.”

Condition

The spoons are slightly dirty.

51 Soup Spoon

Metal soup spoon 1.75” long. The top is silver and the bottom is gold.

Condition

The spoon is badly tarnished.

52 Juice Glass

Blue plastic juice glass, .25” in diameter at the base, .625” tall, and .375” in diameter at the top.
There is a “P” on the bottom.

Condition

Condition is ok.

53 Glasses

Set of seven blue plastic glasses, .25” in diameter at the base, .875” tall and .5” in diameter at the
top. On the bottom it says “1K-1” on two, “1K”- “3, 5, 6, 11, or 14,” on the others.

Condition

Most have a white nick on the top rim.


54 Tea Cups

Set of five blue plastic tea cups, .375” in diameter at the bottom, .5” tall, and .625” in diameter at
the top. On the bottom it says, “1K-1” on three and “1K”- “2 or 3” on the other two.

Condition

There are black spots on the inside of one “1K-1” and “1K-2 and 3.”

55 Bottles

Set of four red plastic, bottomless, bottles, .4375” in diameter at the base, l.75” tall, and .125” in
diameter at the top. There are red plastic caps on the tops.

Condition

They are slightly dirty.

56 Milk Bottles

Set of four white plastic, bottomless, milk bottles, .5” in diameter at the base, 1.625” tall, and .
25” in diameter at the top. There are white tops on the bottles.

Condition

They are slightly dirty.

57 Serving Tureens

Set of two yellow, oblong, plastic serving tureens on round bases. The base is 1.25” in diameter
and says “Merry Mfg. Co.” on the bottom. The tureen is 1.125” x 2” and is .5” tall.

Condition

One tureen has brown spots inside and something white spilled on the bottom.

58 Cups and saucers

Set of two white plastic cups and saucers fused together. The saucers are 1.25” in diameter and
say “Merry Mfg. Co.” on the base. The cups are 1” in diameter and 1” tall.

Condition

Both are slightly dirty and have something light tan spilled on the bottom.
59 Mixer

Cream plastic mixer, .75” at the base and top and 1” tall. The top is hinged and can be lifted
backwards. The mixer part is .5.”

Condition is ok.

60 Ice Cream Cones.

Three tan waffle cones 1” tall and .5” in diameter at the top.

Condition

Condition is ok.

61 Serving Trays

Set of two metal serving trays, 1.5” x .75” and .25” tall, with small handles at each end.
On the bottoms it says “161-418.”

Condition

The bottoms are scratched. The tray tops are tarnished and rusty.

62 Spatula

Metal spatula 2” long, with a spatula head .5” x .626.”

Condition

The spatula head is slightly tarnished.

63 Ice Cube Trays

Two clear plastic ice cube trays, 1.25” x .5”, and .375” high. The bottom is divided into 12
squares.

The bottoms of the trays are dirty.

64 Measuring Cup
Cream plastic measuring cup, .25” in diameter at the bottom, .375” tall, and .5” in diameter at the
top. There are small handles at the top.

1.5” carving knife with a 1” blade.

is a decorative line below the rim.

Yellow plastic cup holder, 1.5” x l”, with six round holes on top.

Two plastic, hollow, half steaks, 1.875” long, with a small round bone, marbled with fat and with
fat around the edges.

Half of a hollow, baked ham. 1” long, 1.25” at the long end with a bone, .5” at the other end, and
.75” tall. The top is cut in small squares. Fat is visible on all outer surfaces.

Half a hollow, plastic pot roast, 1.25” x 1”, and .75” tall, with lines for three strings around it.
Fat is visible on all surfaces.

There is a .75” tear at one end and the inside bottom is dirty.

Oval green plastic platter with three ears of corn on top which are hollow inside. The platter is
2.75” long and 1.75” wide with a scalloped pattern on the edge. The ears of corn are 1.5” to 2”
long.

The inside of the bottom is slightly dirty.

75 Bread with eggs on top

Two pieces of hollow bread with two sunny-side up eggs on top of each. The bread is .625” x .
75.”

Condition

The egg whites are slightly dirty and one piece of bread is dirty on the inside of the back.

Half a hollow chocolate cake, 1.25” in diameter at the bottom, .75” tall, and 1” in diameter at the
top. There is a white icing star on top and three circles of white icing around the cake.

There are several scratches on the outside of the cake and the inside of the bottom is dirty.

Half a hollow white cake with strawberries on top, 1.125” in diameter at the bottom, .75” tall,
and 1” in diameter at the top. There is one red line around the cake.

There is a small nick at the bottom and several spots on the inside of the bottom.

“Junior Girl Scout Activity Book,” a 76 page paperback book published by the Girl Scouts in
1992, 8.375” x 11,” in a dark blue cover. On the front cover beneath the title in yellow is a color
photograph of a group of eight girls. On the back cover are the Girl Scout logo and address, a
bar code, and catalog and ISBN numbers. The book is divided into eight sections: “Skills for
living, Relationships, Many different kinds of people, Healthy eating and fitness, Discovering
science and technology, Exploring the natural world, Creative explorations, and Leadership,”
each of which is divided into three to five subsections. The activities include such things as
money management, getting along with others, sports and games, environmental action,
expressing yourself through music, and making plans in groups. Each activity includes
descriptive information, references to written resources, questions to be answered or charts to be
filled in (as in a workbook). The text is illustrated with diagrams and black and white drawings.

The top and bottom of the cover by the spine are slightly damaged.

GS13 Book

Paperback book of 32 pages in a white cover published by the Girl Scouts in 1993, 8.375” x 11,”
which includes two stories, “Who is a Daisy Scout? and “The Story of Juliette Low,” written in
large print and simple language. On the front cover beneath the title in black is a color drawing
of three young girls holding hands. On the back cover are a portrait of a woman in a blue frame
at the top, the title in black, the Girl Scout logo and address, a bar code, and ISBN and catalog
numbers. One story explains what a Daisy Scout does and the other is a brief biography of
Juliette Low, the founder of the Girl Scouts. The stories are illustrated with color drawings on
every page.

Scout logo is beneath it. On the back cover are the Girl Scout logo and address, a catalog
number, and a bar code. The purpose of the book is to answer commonly asked questions about
Girl Scouting. It is divided into thirteen sections of one to three pages each, which include a
short statement and references to written documentation on the following topics: “The Girl Scout
purpose, Membership, Uniforms, Girl Scout promise, Safety, Girl Scout cookies, Executive
Salaries, Use of the Girl Scout Service mark, Fund raising for other organizations, Political
endorsements, Sexuality, Prayer in schools, Gun control, and New age symbols.”

“Daisy Girl Scouts Leaders’ Guide,” a 127 page paperback book in a yellow cover published by
the Girl Scouts in 1983, 8.375” x 11.” Beneath the title on the front page is a color drawing of
girls in a playground. On the back cover are the Girl Scout logo and address, and a catalog
number. The book is divided into seven sections: “Girl Scouting and you, Characteristics of
Daisy Girl Scouts, About Girl Scouting, Girl Scout programs for Daisy Girl Scouts, The worlds
of interest, Girl Scout terms, and The Daisy Girl Scout story,” and an index. The sections provide
historical and descriptive information about scouting and activities for Daisy Scouts related to
well-being, people, today and tomorrow, the arts, and the out-of-doors. There are numerous blue
and white drawings related to the text.

GS16 Book

“Fun and Folk Songs,” an unpaged paperback song book published by the Westminster Press in
1941 in a yellow cover, 5.75” x 8.75.” The title on the front cover is in red at the top. There is a
red and green border, and inside it is a red and green drawing of six people in folk costumes. On
the back cover is a quotation from Schumann in green. Two holes have been punched next to the
spine. Thirty-five songs are divided into nine sections by type such as rounds and folk games, or
nationality such as Mexican or European. For the four songs related to folk games, directions for
the games also are provided. There are two indexes: one alphabetical by title and the other
arranged by song types, such as nonsense songs and evening songs.

Condition

Two holes have been punched next to the spine. The covers are dirty and the front cover has a .
5” tear on the right side. The paper is yellow from age.

GS17 Book

“Sing Me Your Song O!” compiled by Janet E. Tobitt, a 64 page paperback book published in
1941 by the author, 5.375” x 8.375,” in a brown cover. The title on the front cover is in dark
brown. On the back cover is a list of other books by the author with prices and addresses from
which they can be purchased. The melody and lyrics for more than 50 songs are arranged in
sections for folk songs from the U.S. and Europe, hymns and carols, art songs and rounds and
canons. Over half the songs are folk songs. Only a few songs have full parts for both treble and
base clefs.
Condition

The cover is dirty and the paper is yellow from age.

GS18 Book

“Get-Together Songs,” a 130 page paperback song book in a purple cover edited by Ellen Jane
Lorenz and Harry C. Eldridge, published in 1935 by Lorenz Publishing Co. 5.75” x 8.75.” The
title on the front cover is in orange. The name of the publisher and illegible writing in pencil are
on the back cover. The 246 songs are for use in schools, churches, and homes by small groups,
large groups and communities. There are alphabetical and topical indexes. The topics include
folk songs, spirituals, hymns, patriotic songs and rounds, among others.

Condition

The covers are creased and dirty. The paper is yellow from age. A few pages are dog-eared. The
title page has black smudges. There is writing in pencil on the back cover.

GS19 Book

“Photography as a Camp Activity,” a 20 page paperback book in a green cover prepared by the
Eastman Kodak Co. and published by the Girl Scouts in 1978, 8.375” x 11.” The title, author
and a drawing of girls photographing a horse are on the front cover in black. The address of the
Girl Scouts is on the back cover. The book includes reasons for including photography as a
camp activity, instructions for getting started, tips for counselors, 20 activities for campers, a
glossary of terms, diagrams for the basic parts of a camera and developing film, and a list of
materials needed for a dark room. There are black and white drawings related to the text on
almost every page.

“The Hometown History Manual,” a 29 page paperback book in a cream cover prepared and
published by The History Channel, 8.5” x 11.” On the front cover are the title in black, two
black and sepia and two color photos of Girl Scout and buildings, and the logos for the Girl
Scouts and History Channel. The logo and address of the History Channel are on the back cover.
The book includes background information on hometown history, community relations
managers, troop leaders, hidden heroines and oral history; three activities for Cadette Girl Scout;
and seven activities for Junior Girl Scouts. Workbook type pages are provided for the activities.

Volume 17, Number 1, 1997-8 Program book of “Birthplace Bound” for the Juliette Gordon Low
Birthplace in Savannah, Ga. a 56 page issue, 8.5” x 11.” A photograph of Juliette Low,
publishing information, and the Birthplace address, phone and fax numbers are on the front
cover. A smaller photo and the Birthplace address are on the back cover. The issue includes
information about the Birthplace programs and facilities, making reservations, and travel to the
site in the first 27 pages. The remainder of the issue is advertising for places to visit and eat in
the Savannah area.

Unpaged, spiral bound book in a buff cover, “Belmont Outdoor Center Program Experiences,”
prepared by Susan B, Strauss and published by the Tulip Trace Council of Girl Scouts, 8.5” x
11.” The title and publisher are printed in black on he front cover; “Debbie Giles, Program
Director” is written in ink at the top. Activities for Scouts at the camp are divided into sections
for geology and soils, forest discovery, compass adventures, water discoveries, day tips and
nature crafts. There are diagrams to illustrate some of the activities. The pages are printed only
on one side

The paper and covers are dirty. There is writing in ink on the front cover.

GS23 Inventory

Three- page typed “Trailer Inventory for Day Camps” in a plastic sleeve, 8.5” x 11.” The first
page lists items guaranteed to be on the trailer in the following categories: crayons/markers,
paints, brushes and paper. The other two pages list items not guaranteed to be on the trailer.
“Trailer Equipment List (This is a copy for the trailer-please keep in plastic when not using)” is
written on the plastic sleeve with a black magic marker.

Condition

The list is ok. The plastic sleeve is very dirty, has something white spilled on it, and is torn on
the top corners.

GS24 Booklet
Eleven- page booklet, “Rhythmical Activities,” with a green and black cover, 6” x 9,” which is
“Physical Education Bulletin 2” published by the Indiana State Board of Health and Indiana
Department of Public Instruction in 1968. On the front cover are an ink stamp with the address
of the Tulip Trace Council of Girl Scouts and a green and white label with “G 1.8 copy 1”
written on it in red ink. The addresses of the publishers are printed on the back cover. On the
first page there is an ink stamp with the address of the Tulip Trace Council of Girl Scouts at the
top and a library check out sleeve with a card in it pasted on top of the text on the lower half.
The booklet consists of lyrics, instructions for dances, and a short bibliography.

animal antics, Thanksgiving, Christmas toys, making a garden, farm chores, pilgrims, Eskimos,

Program for Girl Scout Camps in Milwaukee in 1953,”Get in the Swing to Day Camp” with a
green cover, 5.5” x 8.5,” prepared by Schuster’s and The Boston Store. In addition to the title
and address of the Milwaukee Girl Scouts, there is a drawing of a girl on a swing on the front
cover. The back cover includes a GS trefoil, statement of sponsorship, and a space for the
owner’s name and address. The booklet includes four pages of drawings of day camp activities;
listings for eight day camps with dates, maps, and bus routes; and registration information.

Condition

Two holes are punched near the spine. The covers are dirty.

GS31 Book

“The Way of Understanding” by Sarah Louise Arnold, published by the Girl Scouts in 1951,
168 pages in a green cover, 4” x 6.” The title and author’s name are on the front cover in gold.
On the page opposite the front cover is writing in pen and pencil, “Anne E. Hurst Patton 1951
Girl Scout Convention” and her address. This is a collection of poetry and short prose excerpts
which express the “spiritual values of Girl Scouting,” which includes a list of sources, index, and
alphabetical list of the first lines of the quotations. There is a black and white photo of the author
opposite the title page. A newspaper clipping, 2” x 5.5”, “Sugar Plum Tree Due at Santa’s
Headquarters” from the Bedford Times-Mail is between pages 74 and 75. “A Girl Scout
Leaders’ Prayer,” by Vernon J, Kuehn, 2.5” x 4.25,” is between pages 96 and 97.

Condition

The covers are torn; the spine is broken; the paper in the book and inserts is yellow from age;
there is a water stain on the photo of the author; there is writing in pen and pencil on the page
opposite the front cover; page 160 is dog-eared.

GS32 Book

78 page paperback book, “Games for Girl Scouts,” published by the Girl Scouts in 1949, in a
gray and red cover, 5.785” x 9.” On the front cover are the title in red and an ink stamp for the
Training Department of the Girl Scouts of Milwaukee County. The 15 chapters include games
for occasions such as first troop meetings and indoor meetings, and types of games such as
relays, snow and water games. Brief descriptions of the games are given. Black and white
diagrams are provided for a few of them. There is a list of references for leaders and an index.

The covers are dirty; there is an ink stamp on the front cover; the paper is yellow from age.

“Brownie Scout Handbook,” 95 pages in a gray cover, published by the Girl Scouts in 1951, 6” x
9.” The title and publisher are on the front cover in white along with a drawing of five girls
playing. There is a drawing of a girl reading a book on the back cover. The book is divided into
16 chapters that provide background about Brownies and activities such as homemaking,
international friendship, and nature. There are black and white or tan, black and white drawings
on almost every page related to the text.

Condition

The covers are nicked on the corners, side and spine. The paper is slightly yellow from age.

GS34 Book

93 page paperback book in a green cover, “Leader’s Nature Guide,” by Marie E. Gaudette,
5.375” x 8.5,” published by the Girl Scouts in 1942. On the front page are the title, sub-title,
“How to do nature before she does you,” author’s name, a black and white drawing of girls
walking, and “Anne Patton 275-6669” written in pen in the top right corner. The book is divided
into four sections: “Nature and People, General Things to do in Nature, Specific Things to do in
Nature, and Coordinating Nature with other Interests,” and has a four page list of resources.
There are black and white drawings for a few of the activities.

31 page paperback book, “Patrol Book Junior Girl Scouts,” in a blue and orange cover, 6.25” x
8.75,” published by the Girl Scouts in 1965. On the front cover are the title in black and white,
spaces for the owner to write troop and meeting information, and a GS trefoil. The Girl Scout
promise, laws, and address are on the back cover. Three holes have been punched near the spine.
The book includes information about the functioning of patrols with many color illustrations and
pages to write information about patrol activities. There is one page of cross references to the
“Junior Girl Scout Handbook.”

GS36 Book

278 page paperback book, “Senior Girl Scout Handbook,” in a brown cover, 6.25” x 8.75,”
published by the Girl Scouts in 1963. On the front cover are the title in white and black and part
of a price sticker. There is a book pocket with a charge card in it pasted to the inside of the back
cover. The book is divided into three sections: “Becoming a Senior Scout, Senior Interests, and
Wider Opportunities,” and an appendix, bibliography and index. The first and last sections
include background and historical information, such as organizing a troop and adult roles in
scouting. The second section includes activities for badges such as community action and
mariner. The appendix includes activities for ceremonies such as investiture and capping. There
area a few two-color and multicolor illustrations related to the text. Inserted between the
promise and laws is a slip of paper, 5.25” x 1,” with a short statement on “Contributing to
Society.”

Condition

The covers are scratched, smudged and scuffed on the corners and edges; there is part of a price
sticker in the lower right corner of the front cover. There is a book pocket pasted to the inside of
the back cover. Pages 1-14 are folded at the top right corner.
