Art In Action! – Fri 4/15, 7-10pm, Clock Tower Café in Great Northern Bicycle Company
(825 Broadway). A social for bicycle and art enthusiasts! New Belgium beer, food, gold-
sprint photo booth and races and more fun than you can shake a stick at, with a silent
auction of bicycle-inspired art work and cyclists accessories produced by local cyclists,

FARGO THEATRE for show times

The Company Men (R) – This inspiring, humorous and heartwarming film follows a
downsized corporate high roller (Ben Affleck) as he redefines himself as a husband,
father and as a man. Also stars Kevin Costner, Chris Cooper, and Tommy Lee Jones.
The Last Lions (PG) – National Geographic films presents a wonderful family adventure
that proves the most powerful force in nature is a mother’s love. This incredible true
story follows a lioness and her cubs as they struggle for survival on the African plains.
Giant (1956) – Sat 4/16 at 7pm, Sun 4/17 at 1pm. This is the Elizabeth Taylor movie
voted through The Forum’s tribute. This epic movie stars Taylor, Rock Hudson, and
James Dean. It is over 3 hours long, but worth it. $7


Pound the Pavement for PAM! – Run on behalf of Plains Art Museum in any of the
Fargo Marathon events May 19-20, raise money for arts education, and have a blast! To

The 15th Annual Spring Gala, “Masterpiece Masquerade” – Sat., 5/7, 7pm–1am. Go
incognito with an evening of masks, costumes, and spectacle. Wines by Happy Harry’s,

save $10.
YPN Happy Hour – Wed 4/27, 5:15pm, Pepper’s Sports Cafe. Mingle with other young
professionals in this relaxed, social setting. Complimentary appetizers, beverages are on

Corporate Cup – Thu 5/26, 4-9pm, MSUM – Join the area business community and
engage in some friendly competition. Get your team of 15 or less people together and
prove your business has what it takes! There will be two divisions this year: Competitive
(hardcore competitors) and Recreational (fun-loving competitors). Please indicate which

2nd Annual Great Plains Young Professionals Summit – 6/15-6/17, Fargo. Preparing our
work force for the future is a priority of The Chamber. We are proud to host the 2011
Great Plains Young Professionals (GPYP) Summit with the North Dakota Young
Professionals Network, held right here in Fargo Moorhead. The Summit will bring
together hundreds of young professionals and area leaders from around the region and

ASSE International Student Exchange Programs is seeking local host families for boys
and girls from Europe, Asia, North and South America, Australia, New Zealand and South
Africa, 15-18 years of age, coming to this area for the upcoming high school year. These

Building Basics with Lowes and Habitat for Humanity – Sat 4/16 10-11:30, Fargo Lowes.
In the days leading up to Mother’s Day, construction crews of female volunteers will be
pounding nails and raising walls at Habitat for Humanity construction sites across the
country in recognition of National Women Build Week, 4/30–5/8. To help volunteers get
a jump-start on their building skills, Lowe’s, underwriter of Women Build and sponsor of
National Women Build Week, is hosting “how-to” clinics about power tool safety, roof
shingling and siding installation. Free to attend and open to public. Families welcome.

6th Annual Dragon Fire Walk for Athletics – Sat 4/16, MSUM. The events kick-off with
the Spaghetti Dinner and Opening Ceremony on Fri evening. Saturday morning includes
a 5K, 10K, Dragon 10-Mile, Dragon 10-Mile Relay and 5K Non-competitive Walk. They
invite you to create or join a team and be entered to win prizes for raising the most

Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity’s 2nd Annual Hard Hat Breakfast - Wed 4/27,

8th ANNUAL ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY EXPO – April 28, 2011, with a Pre-conference
Workshop on April 27, 2011 in Fargo, ND. The day includes a morning of presentations
by AT providers and vendors. There is a registration fee of $30 for these sessions and
lunch. Scholarships are available to individuals with disabilities on a first-come, first
serve basis. The AT Expo runs 11:00am-6:00pm and is free and open to the public. Over

Philanthropy by Design – Thurs 5/5, 5-7:30pm, Northern Home Furniture, 505 N.
Broadway, Fargo. Bring your girlfriends and enjoy an evening of wine and hors d’oeuvres
while bidding on fabulous silent auction items. All proceeds from Philanthropy by Design
support the work of the Women’s Fund Endowment, a permanent component of the
FM Area Foundation. The Women’s Fund Endowment awards grants each year to area
non-profits that support three areas of focus: children in the need of care, economic
well-being of women and their families, and opportunities for women in leadership.
