2.4 STATE OF DEVELOPMENT

Research and development

Before the product is produced we have reviewed in all aspects in construction of the clotheslines
such as the use of appropriate sensor when the rain or hot weather. In addition, we consider the design
of this product so that it can save space. We also do the research in how to move the motor to the
inside or outside. This study takes approximately 1 week of implementation.

Concept testing

Before the product is sold in the market, we use the method of "concept testing" to ensure that these
products work well in accordance with the specifications designed. This is very important to ensure
that the products are very high quality in all parts. In early progress, we distribute these products in
stages by stages to the consumers and then we make note and record the strengths and weaknesses of
this product. After that we improve this product in order to satisfy the clients need, besides can
develop this product in larger markets. Besides that, we send these products to SIRIM to make
inspection of these products according to ISO specifications. Other than that, we also get a
certification from SIRIM to this product and safe for consumers.

Before full scale launch of this new product, we were target about 20% of the population in Malaysia
to use this product in their homes. We are also predicted a profit about RM 5 million in a raftly. We
sell products in the market about RM200 per unit and we markup of 18% from the prices.
2.5 PATENT
Intellectual property is important to protect new product from being exploited by other parties. The
concept means that any unauthorized use of the creation or works by unauthorized parties is prohibited
and protected by law.
Since this is a very useful product and customer-friendly and can be applied in various forms. We
want this product to be patented of these ideas and trademark so that it could not easily to copied and
imitated by other competitors. Patent is an exclusive right granted for an invention and inventor’s
exclusive right to make, use or sell an invention for 20 years period. The product has satisfied the
criteria to patent such as it functional to dryer the clothes automatically depend on the weather
condition.

2.6 OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE PRODUCT.

After the research implementation and our product already patented for invention purpose by followed
the intellectual property corporation Malaysia, we are considered the opportunity of our product either
it could be expanding follows by the market demand and also customer need and wants. It also
depends on technology being used to provides the high quality of product for it can make it easy to
customer, so that their could not take a clothes when rainy day. The purpose of our product also to
make it customer friendly.
