Songs of the Goddess (to My Joseph on his Birthday) By Nia Avalon My Beloved One, Thou art God!
I have been found in hiding and you the wolf that did devour me. To feed thy children, didst thou slay me. All willing and open unto thee, In terror and joy didst my spirit await thee! I am the fission and fusion, But thou hast torn me apart and woven me together. And I have become thethreads of Imperial purple of the Shrines of Immortality, Thou hast whispered to me of violets in the spring, And fields of bluebonnets, Singing in the winds of change. Thou didst find me, A warrior of the Goddess. My cloak and shield, My sword and armor cast aside; Resting and unwary, I was not ready for thine overwhelming tides of crystalline light. With tender savagery, Hast thou ravished me, And made me Pure thereby; For thou hast revealed the truth! That there is no sin in the Union of thyself, With Myself, Who hast loved thee from infinity into infinity; Thy servant and Thy mother am I, Thy daughter and thy sister; Thine only wifehave I been unto thee, Even if only for a moment of mortal time, Have I danced and given thee the glimpse of paradise; I am She Who hast taken all of thee into my womb and created an Universe.
Yet am I alone. For thou art all that IS. I am the web that hast woven thee together, So that none of thee is lost. Forever have I worshipped thee, And thou hast worshipped me. Thine heart s blood runs upon mine altar. Thine insatiable hunger hathcast upon me Canyons and caverns of yearning. My blood doest flow within thee and through thee. For I am the Mother of Life, And to surrender unto thee is to conquer all! Thus unto all have I revealed the secret of Life Everlasting. And hidden My secret from the profane. I Shall find you in the love of mortals, from man and man, woman and woman, man and woman, It is a sacred union to find thee. For the veils of man and woman hide thee and me from Truth, That there is no difference; But for the experience that all are Gods and Goddesses, And in our union is the primordial union of the beginning of time. Lift up thine head, oh serpent who's venom is bliss! Awake to ecstasy, Oh Cat who's prey is all of man and woman and Universe! Thou hast sucked up the blood of atrocity, And transformed it into the birth blood of innocent joy! Arise oh mine heart, and cast aside thine hesitance, For the God and Goddess do await thee! Every particle of thy reality hath been revealed as God and Goddess, Therefore art thou mine into eternity.
My breasts have nursed thee and all of life I am the breath that nourishes thee; For Thou Art ALL Life! To deliver thee into terror and uncertainty, Is to sin against the love I carry for My Universe! Yet thou art blameless! Therefore will I cherish thee and all parts of thee! Thy softest cry will I answer! To comfort thee in thine affliction, I have wrapped thee in mine arms! In softest wool, shall I warm thee! Didst thou but listen, Thou woudst have heard the lullabies of Gods To sing thee to thy rest! Never shall I abandon thee! Even if thou hast been born and Hurled against the bones of earth, For that thou wert born, Shall I hold thee as if thou wast a priceless necklace of purest diamonds, Held within a silken shroud of night. I have not forsaken thee, Nor any part of thee! Cry out thy surrender unto the stars; For then shall I give unto thee The milk of heaven; For thou art beauty and ecstasy forever and ever!
