Almighty and everlasting God, You sent Your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, to take upon Himself
our flesh and to suffer death upon the cross. Mercifully grant that we may follow the example of
His great humility and patience and be made partakers of His resurrection; through Jesus Christ,
Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

 II. The Lord Cleanses Us from Sin
Dearly beloved in Christ, the Scriptures teach us that if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and
the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1.9

What gifts have you brought for your Lord?
We give only what the Lord has first given to us. We offer ourselves in Christ through
confession, praise, and thanksgiving; we give our prayers and alms for the sake of the world;
and we participate in the Lord’s Supper as a memorial of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen!
Blessed are you, O Lord God our Father, forever and ever. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power
and the glory and the victory and the majesty; indeed all that is in the heavens and the earth is yours.
Yours is the kingdom, O Lord Jesus Christ, and you are exalted as head over all. Both riches and honor
come from you, and you reign over all, and in your hand is power and might, and it lies in your hand to

Kingdom Prayer
God, our Father in heaven, look with mercy on us, your needy children on earth, and grant us grace that
your holy Name be hallowed by us and all the world through the pure and true teaching of your Word
and the fervent love shown in our lives. Graciously turn from us all false doctrine and evil living
whereby your holy Name is borne by us in an empty and profane way. Lord in your mercy,
hear our prayer!
May your kingdom come to us and expand. Bring all transgressors, and those who are blinded and
bound in the devil’s kingdom, to know Jesus Christ, your Son, by faith, that the number of Christians
may be increased. Lord in your mercy,
hear our prayer!
Strengthen us by your Spirit according to your will, both in life and in death, in the midst of both good
and evil things, that our own wills may be crucified daily and sacrificed to your good and gracious will.
Into your merciful hands we commend our family and friends, indeed, all who are in need, praying for
them at all times that your will be done. Lord, in your mercy,
hear our prayer!
Grant us our daily bread, preserve us from greed and selfish cares, and help us to trust in you to provide

Eucharistic Prayer ~ Prayer of Thanksgiving
We thank you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, for your mighty works, which reveal your wisdom and love.
You formed us in your own image, and you gave the whole world into our care, so that, in faithfulness
to you, we might rule and serve all your creatures. When our unbelief and disobedience took us far from
you, You did not abandon us to the power of death. In your mercy you came to our help, so that in
seeking you we might find you. Again and again you called us into covenant with you, and through the
prophets you called us to repent and to hope for salvation. We thank you, Father, that you loved the
world so much that in the fullness of time, you sent your Son to be our Savior. He lived as one of us, yet
with unwavering faith and without sin. To the poor he proclaimed the good news of salvation; to
prisoners, freedom; to the sorrowful, joy. To fulfill your purpose, he humbled himself in obedience to
death, and rose from the grave to destroy death, and to make the whole creation new. We thank you,
Father, for sending the Holy Spirit, who grants us repentance and gives us new life in Christ by faith,
that we might no longer live for ourselves, but for him who died and rose for us.
Dying he destroyed our death, rising he restored our life. Lord Jesus, come again in glory! Amen.
Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good!

Let us continue in prayer together:
Almighty and gracious heavenly Father, we give You praise and thanks that through Your holy
Gospel and Sacrament, You have again offered and presented to us Your most precious treasure:
the true Bread of Heaven and Food of eternal life, Our Lord Jesus Christ. And we heartily ask You
to grant that we may receive Him and partake of Him in true faith, now and forever, and be so
nourished by His Flesh and Blood that we may be set free from all evil, and increase daily in all
goodness, to Your glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!
Great Commission Matthew 28.18-20
Jesus declares, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and disciple all the nations

Son of Man to be glorified. 24 Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies,
it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. 25 Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his
life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26 If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am,
there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him. 27 "Now is my soul troubled.

him." 30 Jesus answered, "This voice has come for your sake, not mine. 31 Now is the judgment of this

people to myself." 33 He said this to show by what kind of death he was going to die. 34 So the crowd
answered him, "We have heard from the Law that the Christ remains forever. How can you say that the
Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?" 35 So Jesus said to them, "The light is among you
for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you. The one who walks in
the darkness does not know where he is going. 36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you
may become sons of light." When Jesus had said these things, he departed and hid himself from them. 37
Though he had done so many signs before them, they still did not believe in him, 38 so that the word
spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: "Lord, who has believed what he heard from us, and to
whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?" 39 Therefore they could not believe. For again Isaiah said,

"He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with
their heart, and turn, and I would heal them." 41 Isaiah said these things because he saw his glory and
spoke of him. 42 Nevertheless, many even of the authorities believed in him, but for fear of the Pharisees
they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved the glory that
comes from man more than the glory that comes from God.
