Contact Tracing Android Application Using QR Code

I. Project Description

The project would be a contact tracing mobile application wherein the government probably the
national government, the Local Government Unit, and the citizen of the Republic of the Philippines. The
contact tracing mobile application will ease the process of getting a travel pass in order to go to another
place. The technology will be using will be a QR (Quick Response) Code and an Android Device. The
information of the traveller will be inputted in digitally and electronically.

II. Purpose Statement

The main purpose of this project is to:

1. Lessen the time of waiting period of the people in processing their documents for travelling
within the Philippines.
2. Minimize the use of the paper or a hard copy of the documents provided that all
information is in the Android Device.
3. Fasten the contact tracing of the government to each individual.

III. Procedures/Steps in Executing the Project

1. A project team will be hired for the said project with one project manager and 2-3 project
team members;
2. The developer will develop an application that will based on the paper based transaction –
the usual people do;
3. A graphic designer will be hired for the design of the project;
4. The national government will introduce the application to the public;
5. The individual citizen is the one will input their information and the user must aware of the
Republic Act No. 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012. Whatever they input there will be
protected under the said law;
6. The LGU will provide each individual a unique QR Code, that anyone cannot tamper or
copy;
7. It will be presented by travellers every time they are travelling within the Philippines.
