ABSENT: W. Kinsella, L. Langley. DECISION BY THE COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMITTEE ON APPEAL NOTICE – CEYON I. HENRY, OF 3813 – 134 AVENUE, EDMONTON, ALBERTA – UNTIDY AND UNSIGHTLY PROPERTY. Councillor M. Phair stated the following: In dealing with this appeal, the Community Services Committee heard from Mr. Ceyon I. Henry, who is the appellant, and Mr. David Aitken from the Administration. Based on what was heard, the Committee’s decision is to uphold the Order from the City Administration. The Committee based its decision on the fact that the property is unsightly and untidy and that with upholding the Order, there is a 40-day period in which the appellant will have the opportunity to make the property sightly in ways that will conform with the Department. By doing that, they will comply and carry out the direction of the Administration. The consequences of this not being done would result in a fine being levied and the Administration would do the tidying up themselves and charge that back to the property owner. E.L. Britton, Office of the City Clerk, confirmed Mr. C. Henry’s address for service to receive the Committee’s written decision. MOVED B. Anderson: That the Committee recess for three minutes.
