I am certain that Cobain did not write the lyrics to Smells Like Teen Spirit. The lyrics to that song and to 'Come As You Are' were given to him anonymously when he was just starting out as a fledgling 'poet' act /roady with Buzz Osbourne of the Melvins. Both of them were very raw, and at that time Cobain was still mastering the guitar , while Osbourne's early act was quite rudimentary as far as ability to play instrumentally. Osbourne's was a teenage thrash/noise metal act that moved around the Seattle/Portland region for reasons not fully disclosed, imo. Apparently, Cobain traveled with Osbourne to Calgary, Alberta, where he was given the lyrics, which he kept for five years before deciding to record them. It appears that Cobain wrote the music to accompany the lyrics based on the suggestion that he use the riff from 'More than a Feeling', but got cold feet about doing anonymously acquired lyrics that he could not properly credit the original writer with. He then attempted to rewrite the lyrics , as evident on scraps of paper which were later,( after his death) cobbled together by Courtney Love as being part of something that was then marketed as the 'secret journals of a genius that meticulously planned his every move'.) In reality, the 'journal' was mostly the product of Courtney scraping together every bit of the scrap paper, notes, scribblings, old letters and looseleaf notebooks that she could find in Cobain's drawers and cobbling them together as something to make a buck on. (I would not be surprised if some of the material was fabricated by Courtney outright to fill out a book length project) His plan was to use his newly composed music (based partially on the distinctive riff of 'More than a Feeling' by Boston) with the reworked lyrics instead of the lyrics that were originally given him. Included (below) was this attempt at rewriting Smells Like Teen Spirit: [some interesting parts I have highlighted as it relates to some of the subject matter in this thread]:
Quote:

Come out and play make up the rules Take off your clothes Ill see you in court We’ll lose but we wont be bored Come out and play, make up the rules, Dyslexic idiot savant with bad hearing load up on guns & bring your friends The secret handshakes pretend our little group has always been and always will until the end we cut our hands & made a pact & swore wed never going back A mulatto an Albino A mosquito my libido YAY A deposit for a bottle stuck inside it no role model A denial Who will be the King & Queen of the outcasted teens. I hate to use percentages its nice to know there is a choice Cobain decided that the above lyrics were an obvious failure, and went with the original lyrics that were given him, with only some slight changes.

Nirvana T-shirt : Nirvana: Fudge Packin, Crack Smokin, Satan Worshippin Motherfucker 'Mother fucker' also has its reference in My Own Private Idaho:

in 'My Own Private Idaho' James Russo plays the part of Mike Water's brother and father , in other words, Mike was fathered by his own brother , ie: from his brother sleeping with his mother.

Cobain murdered by CIA - Page 225 - David Icke's Official Forums

found this on River Phoenix and Gus Van Sant:

He died at age 23 outside Johnny Depp's Los Angeles club, the Viper Room. The official cause of death was drug-induced heart failure. Here is some of Louis Hobson's (Calgary Sun) take on it, which closely reflects what others have written:
Quote:

"He collapsed on the sidewalk on Sunset Boulevard after staggering out of Johnny Depp's Viper Room nightclub, dying in the arms of his younger brother Joaquin Phoenix and River's then-girlfriend Samantha Mathis... It was a horrible death with River suffering for almost 10 minutes from violent seizures. I was at a press junket and, because it was Halloween, we had wandered up to Santa Monica and Sunset Boulevards to catch a look at the outrageously-costumed revellers. Within days, it was confirmed Phoenix had overdosed on heroine and cocaine, the same mix of drugs that had killed John Belushi 11 years earlier. I was deeply saddened but, unfortunately, I was not surprised. I had interviewed Phoenix seven months earlier in Dallas for the drama The Thing Called Love. It was the fifth time I'd interviewed the young actor who I'd often referred to in features and reviews as his generation's James Dean. It was a tragic comparison as Dean died at age 24. River had generally been shy, reserved and polite. Not so in Dallas where he was brash and crude. The interviews were delayed so that River could be made presentable. He had been partying most of the previous night and was definitely in a major hang-over mode. He drew obscene caricatures on a piece of paper as he teased us with suggestions that perhaps he was a bisexual drug addict like the one he played two years earlier in Gus Van Sant's My Own Private Idaho. There are those who have blamed Van Sant for River's downward spiral encouraging him to experiment with both drugs and gay sex. Van Sant has never stooped to malign River, but he has suggested the actor had been experimenting with both years before filming My Own Private Idaho." "
