On November 5, 2021, Ventavia and Lauren Foreman published a false statement of fact
concerning Brook Jackson. As reported in MedPage Today, you stated with regards to Jackson,
that “no part of her job responsibilities concerned the clinical trials at issue.” This statement is
false. This statement impugns the reputation of my client, Brook Jackson, and falsely implies she
publicly misrepresented her work on the clinical trials. Point in fact, as you know, Jackson was
in fact hired to be the regional director specifically for the “clinical trials at issue,” proof of
which Jackson provided to MedPage Today following publication of the statement, and which
they equally and independently confirmed.
This letter serves as a formal legal demand that Foreman and Ventavia immediately issue
a public retraction in a public press release retracting the above statement, further correct the
public record by acknowledging “the accuser’s job responsibilities did in fact concern the
clinical trials at issue”, and formally and publicly apologize to my client.
This notice serves as formal notice under Texas statute 73.055, and a failure to timely
correct and retract the defamatory statement may result in legal action, including seeking
exemplary damages against you for your illicit lies.
Sincerely,
Robert Barnes
