Email: email@example.com y East Bay Express ±Editorial Internship (Oakland, CA) The East Bay Express accepts student interns for the fall, spring, and summer semesters. This is an opportunity for aspiring journalists or those curious about working in a newsroom to gain handson experience in the day-to-day operations of a weekly newspaper, with the opportunity to contribute editorial content. Interns contribute to the paper and web site in three ways. First of all, they write short items for our blog, calendar section, and special issues. Those interns who show initiative and writing skills are also welcomed to pitch longer stories for our news or music sections. Secondly, they update and fact-check our online listings, learning the ins and outs of using an online database ² which just happens to be the skill we have been looking for as we have hired most new employees in recent years.
