GUIDELINES : - COST CENTER SELECT

INTRODUCTION:
The objective of this Tracker is to help in selection of correct cost center code as applica
your case. Cost Center or Cost Object is the logical sub-unit for collection of cost in our f
system. In order to get accurate cost information (based on various in-built parameters)
Management Reporting and also for Cost Control measures, selection of correct cost cen
absolute prerequisite. Please refer to this guidelines very carefully before selecting the c
& appropriate cost center for the concerned cost.

IMPORTANT CAUTION:
There is a conceptual change in the new method of selecting cost center from the old Fi
Cost Center Method. In new method, cost center will be treated as variable and will chan
based on the incidence of the cost. In cost center code, there are five (5) in-built parame
and incidence of cost is related to each one of them. Therefore, any change in any of th
parameter will change your cost center code and you have to use that code for reportin
particular incidence of cost.
Example: Suppose Mr. X , a client partner has incurred travelling expenses for a particu
project, his Department will be 'Client Engagement'. Now, suppose keeping all other
parameters same as before, if Mr. X has incurred travelling expenses as pre-sales activi
Department will be 'Marketing'. Therefore, Mr. X has to use two separate cost centers fo
claiming his two separate travelling expenses (incidence of cost).
