Isaiah 54:9-10 (The Message) "This exile is just like the days of Noah for me: I promised then that the waters of Noah would never again flood the earth. I'm promising now no more anger, no more dressing you down. For even if the mountains walk away and the hills fall to pieces, My love won't walk away from you, my covenant commitment of peace won't fall apart." The God who has compassion on you says so.

RATIONALE Biblical Basis: Isaiah 54:9-10 (The Message) "This exile is just like the days of Noah for me: I promised then that the waters of Noah would never again flood the earth. I'm promising now no more anger, no more dressing you down. For even if the mountains walk away and the hills fall to pieces, My love won't walk away from you, my covenant commitment of peace won't fall apart." The God who has compassion on you says so. The world is in fast pace… things happen so quickly in such a way that do not conform to what God intended them to be – conflicts, poverty and economic crisis, violence, diseases and many other forms of un-peace and injustice. In the midst of these ever-changing times, we can only dwell in God’s promise of peace: “For even if the mountains walk away and the hills fall to pieces, My love won’t walk away from you, my covenant commitment of peace won’t fall apart.” This promise is tried and true, and speaks to the young people today. That even in the midst of hopelessly fragmented situation, the youths could still find reason to celebrate and rejoice! To sing a resounding song of praises and victory that could appease a society troubled by these injustices, and more importantly, to share an act of love and compassion. Their youthfulness, dynamism and talents are what they got to offer in bringing forth God’s message to the people. Thus their “Songs of Peace with Justice” becomes a powerful source of inspiration and affirmation of God’s covenant. Through AKY3, the youth seeks to participate in this mission of the church in pursuing a longlasting shalom based on justice. By then and only then that we can realize a life in all its fullness, just as God intends it to be. CONTEST MECHANICS ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Each annual conference MUST have one entry.
