School Technology Trip to Te Manawa - Monday 30th May We will be leaving school at 8.

15am to travel to Palmerston North to attend a Technology Workshop at Te Manawa. The Senior students will be working will Roamer Robots and the Junior student will investigate Printing. Our sessions run from 10.30am to 12.00pm. We will then travel to The Lido for lunch and a swim. We will leave Palmerston North at 2pm and have the children back to school by 4pm. From Marama Pukeokahu School has two big themes this term Technology (The Design Cycle) and the Science Fair. Our Cluster Science Fair will be held in Town on Monday 27th June - Tuesday 28th June. The senior children will be each conducting their own scientific investigation while the Junior children will be investigating as a group. We are also looking at the Technology Design Cycle and have begun the term participating in variety of BP Technology Challenges (it’s amazing what you can make with some newspaper, cellotape and a pair of scissors:-) We are hoping to follow the children’s Wonderings for Technology later on in the term, so we will keep you posted with where the children lead us. Hall Meeting and AGM - Tonight @ 7.30pm There will be a meeting at 7.30pm for the Bike Ride Debrief with the AGM to follow. All Welcome.

The Pukeokahu School Fundraising Fair- Friday 20th May - 12 - 2pm The Pukeokahu School Students are super excited about this up-in-coming event. They have basically taken charge of the entire event, which is fantastic - a real opportunity for leadership. The kids have organised a bake sale, games, a massage/manicure stall, a second hand stall, bags of pinecones for sale and face painting for children. We will have a sausage sizzle and candy floss as well. Please pop down for the afternoon to support these super kids, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter (and my ambition to meet Richie Mecaw ;-) The Quiz Master Andy invites you all to a night of fun at The Pukeokahu Hall Quiz Night Friday 20th May @ 7.30pm Funds Raised for the Westpac Helicopter Trust Entry is $20 per team, with spot prizes for the best dressed team; the best team name; the team which wins at the wrong end and the Champion of Champions Quiz Trophy up for grabs.
