CHILDREN’S LITURGY PROGRAM: at the
10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass will resume in a few weeks . >Co-ordinator, Jane Freemark asks that leaders from last year please contact her (432-9029) to inform her whether or not they wish to continue. >Jane also invites anyone else interested in joining the team to please contact her. What better way to express your faith than by sharing it with the next generation.

Every now and then people come along seeking to become members of our church community. For many years we have heard of, and many of you have participated in Chrissome way with the R.C.I.A.: the Rite of Chri stian Initiation for Adults. ParWe are about to begin a process this fall as a Parish Community whereby we will arrive at formally apwelcoming them to our Table of Eucharist. We appreciate your prayerful support of their journey. As well, we will seek the support of many parishparishion ioners to assist them on their journey. inIf you are aware of someone who may have an interest in exploring our Faith, we invite you to make the Parish office aware by a simple call to naturally our Parish staff. We would naturally welcome them to explore with us. Once we have begun the program it will be difficult to start again so know please let us know now. Please join us in prayer as we respond to God’s call in the lives of these people.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS, Council 1916 Renfrew: will hold their next General Meeting on Knights Monday, September 8th at 7:00 p.m. in the Knights of Columbus Hall. Incoming Grand Knight, Neil Stroud invites all members to attend this first meeting of the new fraternal year.

MEETING: C.W.L. GENERAL MEETING: Tuesday, September 9th at 7 p.m. in the Large Hall. There will be a presentation on: Genetic Engineering in Agriculture by Anne HerHermans. Your questions are welcome. Social time included. ST. FRANCIS XAVIER BOOK CLUB: Due to the positive experiences in the past two book clubs, Heidi Robinson and Derek Lennox will be starting another book club in late September. The book that will be read is Anne Rice’s “Christ the Lord: Road to Cana”. Individuals interested in joining the club and purchasing a book can contact Heidi at 613-433-9954 or heidirob30@hotmail.com. The book being ordered will be a hardcover version and will cost $24.21. Heidi will be placing the order th Monday, September 15 , so orders must be given to Heidi by Sunday, September 14th. A brief book pick-up/payment/meet and greet will be on Monday, September 22nd at 7:30 in the Rectory Meeting Room. The book club will then meet at 7:30 on the following days: Monday, Oct. 6th and 20th, Monday, Nov. 3rd and 17th and Monday, Dec. 1st. New members are welcome!
