INTRODUCTION:

Gold Coast City Council - Division 12 in conjunction with, Gecko, The Community Development
Office- Burleigh, local artist Jessica Hardy and Resene Colour Shop-Burleigh Heads are pleased
to invite you to participate in Open Doors 2011.The Open Door Project is a community
development initiative that invites community services, schools and artists to decorate, design,
accessorise or paint a door of their choice expressing a message or story they want the
community to know.
 A story about your Organisation or School, a story about an issue of relevance to those who
come in your doors, a story about a hopeful future for our community or your
neighbourhood.
 A car door, a front door, a kitchen cabinet door, a trap door, a fly screen door, a set of
doors painted on canvas. The possibilities are endless !

The project aims to bring people together for a common cause, to encourage expression, to get
across a public message of Open Doors within the Community where often we can feel unsure
about which Door to knock on for opportunities, assistance or information.
