How and why propeller blade tracking is carried out
Types of propeller blade damage: delamination, corrosion, rust, erosion, and
fatigue
Propeller treatment and repair schemes
Why there are rules and limitations for propeller engine running
How and why propeller preservation and de-preservation is carried out
Candidates will need to show that they can evaluate the information to produce a
balanced report explaining the reasons for their conclusions. This assessment is to
be carried out under open book conditions and all submissions should be the
candidate’s own work.
Use suitable diagrams, tables and charts where appropriate. Your response may
include literature and web-based information, which must be referenced in
your reports as appropriate.
Put your student ID number on the front (title) page of your report and in the footer
of every page of your report. Submit your report as printed and bound copy.
