Preparation:
A. Engage the audience to be open to what is to come for all humanity, Jesus Christ the
Son of God, who will come to judge the living and the dead! He is the Ά Ω the
beginning and the end.
Dialogue: Good morning everyone. It is good to see all of you ready to participate in
our journey of faith in Jesus Christ. As we have mentioned before the teaching of the
Church that will be discussed today should at least bring to your attention the call of
Holiness. Our Baptism, especially through the renewal of our Baptismal promises means
we are not only Baptized into a new life in Christ, we are also baptized into his death. Jn
3:5-6 ff.
Rite of Baptism
“Father, look with love upon your Church, and unseal for it the formula of Baptism. By
the power of the Holy Spirit give to this water the grace of your son, so that in the
sacrament of all those whom you have created in your likeness may be cleansed from sin
and rise to a new birth of innocence by water and the Holy Spirit.”

The goal is to get to Heaven. Heaven is what we should be longing for! We seek
perfection and purity in order to function in Heaven. We seek the beatific vision!
Stress the need for Conversion to Christ. Cite the biblical foundation for the Sacrament
of Penance in Jn 20:20-22.
Reading: Mt 25:31-46 (Proclamation of the Word); Utilize the readings for July 29th
or 30th memorial of St. Martha.

“And Jesus cried out and said, ‘He who believes in me, believes not in me but in him
who sent me. And he who sees me sees him who sent me. I have come as light into the
world, that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. If anyone hears my
sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world
but to save the world. He who rejects me and does not receive my sayings has a judge;
the word that I have spoken will be his judge on the last day. For I have not spoken on
my own authority; the Father who sent me has himself given me commandment what to
say and what to speak. And I know that his commandment it eternal life. What I say,
therefore, I say as the Father has bidden me.’” Jn 12:44-50

Christ will come “in his glory and all the angels with
him . . .
Before him will be gathered all the nations . . .
And he will separate them from one another as a
shepherd separates the sheep from the goats . . .
And he will place the sheep at his right hand – Heaven
But the goats to the left – Hell
“Signed with the perfumed oil, the baptized receive the indelible
mark, the seal of the Lord, together with the gift of the spirit that
conforms them more closely to Christ and gives them the grace of
spreading the sweet odor of Christ.”
