Dr. Md. Mahmudul Hasan of IIUM lectured on “Towards Understanding Islamic English”
A lecture program on 'Towards Understanding Islamic
English' was held at Conference Hall of BIIT on 22 May
2011. Dr. Md. Mahmudul Hasan of the Department of
English Language and Literature, International Islamic
University Malaysia (IIUM) delivered the lecture.

Prof. Dr. Israr Ahmad Khan of IIUM met with BIIT officials
An Exchange of views program between Dr. Israr Ahmad Khan, Associate Professor of
International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and Heads of Islamic disciplines was held at
the Conference Hall of BIIT, Dhaka on 1 March
2009. The Chairman of Islamic studies and Arabic
disciplines of public and private universities of
Dhaka were present at the meeting. Discussion
and exchange of views mainly focused on some
issues of Qur’an and hadith related to higher studies as well as misgivings at home and abroad.
The program was presided over by Mr. Shah Abdul Hannan, Chairman of the BIIT Trust.

College and other civil society members took part in the discussion and made their comments on
the said National Education Policy. After discussion and deliberation, the conference made some
recommendations for the kind consideration of Bangladesh Government.

National Press Club, Dhaka on 18 November 2009 which was jointly organized by Islamic
Economic Research Bureau (IERB) and Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought (BIIT).

Islamic Thought (IIIT). The workshop was divided into six sessions.
In the Inaugural Session of day one (19 November 2009), Mr. Md. Sulayman Mia, Fellow &
Member of the Executive Committee of Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought (BIIT)
delivered the address of welcome and introduced Prof. Dr. Aslam Haneef & Mustafa Omar
Mohammed to the participants. Then Mr. M. Azizul Huq, President of the Executive Committee
of BIIT delivered his speech and inaugurated the workshop as the Chief Guest.

Finance, Banking, Accounting, Management & Marketing were presented in the workshop by
Mr. Abdullah Raihan, Md. Shariful Islam, Afroza Bulbul & Kazi Farjana, fellow and members
of the Curriculum Reform Team of BIIT.

BIIT Scholars Held a Study Circle on Al Tawhid: Its Implications for Thought and Life
The IIUM Chapter of Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought (BIIT) organized a study circle
held at KEPSA Meeting Room in KOED, IIUM on Friday 30 October 2015 on Al Tawhid: Its

A six-day training course on ‘Islamic Banking
Product Development’ was held during 10-15
November 2012 at IBTRA, Dhaka. The program
was organized jointly by Bangladesh Institute of
Islamic Thought (BIIT) and IIUM Institute of
Islamic Banking & Finance (IIiBF), Malaysia .
Forty eight mid level executives from thirteen
different banks and five financial institutions participated in the training program.
