Racism

Abraham J. Heschel said: "Racism is man's gravest threat to man - the maximum of hatred for a minimum of reason." Walking down the street someone tramples you down under his feet just because your skin tone is colored or darker. You don t get enrolled in University because the criterion is that your lineage should be a superior one. All this injustice because a human is not being judged by the content of his character but by the race to which he belongs. If you call it racism then I will call it yet another form of barbarism. Racism is a deeply rooted cultural tendency which grows when people allow it to. It sabotages equality, fraternity and brotherhood. To be precise, it cuts at the root of unity. Societies which believe in racism and allow it to prevail have bleak chances of survival. The world s fastest spreading religion i.e Islam which enveloped the entire Arabian Peninsula in a time span of 23 years, shunned all such vices such as slavery and victimization of women which promoted racism. The first one to give call for prayer was a Negro slave. The concept of five daily prayers with an aim of getting together in the mosque is itself bedrock of unity and Islamic democracy which is embodied five times a day. This pillar of Islam serves well to eliminate the concept of inequality, superiority and racism. The last messenger of God opposed the idea of racism beautifully; O people, Remember that your Lord is one. An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a black has no superiority over white, nor does a white have any superiority over black, except by piety and good action. Indeed the best among you is the one with the best character. Love for one s own race with the view that all others are inferior and filthy leads to an evil superiority complex which feeds on human blood and flesh. The very sight of someone belonging to another race transforms the people of so-called superior race into savages. They stop at nothing to reflect through their actions that what it means to be superior. For these superior entities all the good things in life are meant for them and they have a legitimate share in all that is marvelous. The very idea seems to be insane for anyone who is educated as all should get what they have worked for.

Nelson Mandela, one of the great moral and political leaders of his times: an international hero whose lifelong dedication to the fight against racial oppression in South Africa won him the Nobel Peace Prize and the presidency of his country depicted through his strenuous efforts that it is an imperative to introduce multiracial government for any country to prosper. Mandela

Conclusively. the Jirga system further propels the idea of racism. because I regard it as a barbaric thing. according to me racism can never lead to something positive or bright. It is a heinous crime which isolates so many people and renders their abilities and talents rusted by placing insurmountable barriers across their paths. Unfortunately. therefore. an outlook which transcends the boundaries of provinces. the goal for which millions of Muslims have lost their lives. Such gruesome treatment on something baseless is against humanity. whether it comes from a black man or a white man. The founder of this sovereign state Muhammad Ali Jinnah thwarted racism in a clear way. Even today.made courts the tribal chiefs use their high-handedness to decide who is guilty or innocent according to their will and wish. and racialism. Some parts of Pakistan. We must develop a sense of patriotism which should galvanize us all into one united and strong nation. It can only create a moth-eaten state and if allowed to creep it can eradicate all the characteristics which a human being should possess. Remember we are building up a State which is going to play its full part in the destinies of the whole Islamic World. We. Marginalizing particular people due to their ethnic backgrounds or color tones is by no means a wise act. need a wider look.said. That is the only way in which we can achieve our goal. countries like India which practice caste system never allow the less privileged members of their society to thrive and acquire key positions. limited nationalism. I detest racism. In the presence of racism you can only envisage a society composed of blood-thirsty animals while the consequences aren t too hard to imagine then! . As you actually prohibit a large chunk of your society to stay away from all progressive elements that contribute for the betterment of the society. especially the tribal areas of Khyber Pakhtoon Khwan and Baluchistan consider racial discrimination to be legal. Under these self. the goal of our struggle. In some areas they are even considered as the untouchables .
