Tigard-Tualatin School District Superintendent's Scholarship

The Tigard-Tualatin Schools Foundation and the Tigard-Tualatin School District Board of
Directors created the Superintendent’s Scholarship. Funding has been generated through the out-
of-district proceeds of the Scrip program. The Superintendent's Scholarship, in the amount of
$1,000, recognizes and rewards one graduating senior at each high school who has a history of
exemplary leadership and service to school and community and who intends to pursue a degree
in education. The recipients will be announced at the senior awards assemblies held at each
school at the end of the year.

Scholarship Criteria
The scholarship criteria are outlined below. Corresponding questions appear on the attached application.

Academic
1. Applicants must be candidates for graduation from Tigard or Tualatin High School with an accumulative grade
point average of 3.0 or higher for all four years.
2. Applicants must demonstrate commitment to achieving a high personal level of academic performance.

Leadership and Community Service


1. Applicants must demonstrate involvement and participation in high school campus activities.
2. Applicants must demonstrate good citizenship, leadership and teamwork within the high school, community and
other environments.
3. Applicants must demonstrate a history of service to school and community.

Personal Goal
1. Applicants must have declared a major in Education from any four-year accredited college or university in the
state of Oregon.

Information
1. Scholarship applications are available in each high school Career/Counseling Center.
2. Each scholarship recipient will be awarded $1,000 that can be used for educational purposes at any four-year
accredited college or university in the state of Oregon.
