HIGHLIGHTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Increased sales conversion rate, turning around store performance. Macy's West,
lowest ranked out of eight divisions, had only 22% sales of furniture protection
plans. Improved rewards and incentives, increasing sales conversion rate to 43%
. Grew business from $2.6M to $6.2M, and moved from last to #2 best performing d
ivision.
Improved customer service response rates. Customer service was at all time low a
nd sales were declining. Re-engineered process, logging/tracking calls and docum
enting time from first call to resolution. Cut resolution time from around 250 d
ays to 18 days. Boosted customer satisfaction rate from 40% to well over 90%.
Successfully integrated acquired stores in two regions. After southern CA manage
r quit, planned and implemented merger of furniture departments for 26 stores in
both regions following Macy's acquisition of May Co. Achieved seamless integrat
ion with no loss of sales or decline in conversion rates.
Designed departmental sales training program. Macy's training was not focused on
Furniture Associates (FA). Analyzed sales process and surveyed managers/associa
tes on training needs. Set up program, ensuring FA's were trained for gallery op
ening in six weeks. Later included standards, ethics, and computer manual traini
ng.
