EXPERIENCE:
Orbital Sciences Corporation (Nov 2004 - Nov 2010) Senior Principal Engineer
* For Ground-Based Missile Defense (GMD), performed system requirements verifica
tion as acceptance criteria for delivery of each Orbital Boost Vehicle (OBV) roc
ket booster and avionics module; DOORS requirements verification status was pres
ented in a formal Ship Readiness Review for each delivery.
* Prepared Technical Performance Metrics (TPM) quarterly reports for up to three
different missile configurations for GMD. TPMs were monitored and presented as
historical measure of key performance criteria. New TPM selection and results
for the 2-Stage configurations of GMD were formally presented at PDR and CDR.
* Completed a 3 year effort to independently verify each component of the OBV Bo
ost Vehicle by verifying vendor acceptance test results with system requirements
.
* As part of the data review team, analyzed telemetry from GMD missiles during a
ssembly, prior to delivery, and before and after test flights. Rotated to field
sites in Vandenburgh AFB, Ft. Greely Alaska, and the Marshal Islands.
* Performed Cost Account Manager (CAM) duties, including estimating and scheduli
ng for the GMD data review effort.
Decisive Analytics Corporation (Oct 2002 - Nov 2004) Senior Engineer
* Enforced technical algorithm data exchange process between the external develo
pment teams and end-users for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Advanced Systems
(AS) Battle Management team (Project Hercules White Team). Assessed technical r
eadiness of promising phenomenologies and architectures, added new control steps
to the Hercules process, and facilitated algorithm reviews. Created and mainta
ined status of algorithm technical capability data for Project Hercules. Respon
sible for the DoD 5002 Software and Algorithm Technology Readiness Level (TRL) E
xit Criteria Checklist.
* Developed threat scenario trajectory files for test input to the MDA Decision
Architecture (DA). Developed Project Hercules Algorithm-To-Test (ATT) documenta
tion proposing that the DA algorithms be elevated to Hercules testing.

Lockheed Martin Naval Electronics & Surveillance Systems - Undersea Systems, Man
assas, VA, and Akron, OH
Senior Engineer / Scientist
Manassas, Virginia: (1996 - 2002)
* Led the Simulation/Stimulation team for the Canadian Victoria Submarine Fire C
ontrol System (SFCS) that designed, developed, and integrated a Sonar Interface
Processor to simulate sonar contacts over SBS 1553B bus., and designed a Graphic
al User Interface for selecting sonar modes and options.
* Created the Interface Control Document between the Lockheed Martin Canada 1553
B and the SFCS software.
* Responsible for the systems engineering and software sections of the Joint Che
mical Agent Detector (JCAD) proposal, and performed estimating and technical wri
ting for the Victoria Canadian SFCS proposal.
Akron, Ohio: (1970-1996)
* Lead Engineer for Special Operations Forces Aircrew Training System (SOF ATS)
MC-130 Flight Simulator. Performed system engineering, design reviews, planning
, scheduling, and budgeting and hardware procurement for executive software, mis
sion computer simulation, and diagnostics.
* Responsible for development, testing, and documentation of the Vertical Launch
Asroc (VLA) missile flight control software in coordination with a Navy Indepen
dent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Team.
* Responsible for the Natural Environment for the JAS39 flight simulator (Sweden
's Grippen fighter aircraft) including requirements analysis, design and integra
tion of weather effects, and ephemeris conditions.
* Performed development and integration of the ALE-47 F-16 Radar Countermeasures
Cockpit Control Unit.
* Designed and developed ALE-47 test equipment, and Flight Data Recorder data re
duction tools. Assigned to the F-16 flight test team responsible for flight dat
a collection and countermeasures effects.
