1 gallon dry black beans 1 - 26 oz can green chilis 1 qt diced tomatoes picados (canned) 12 C. red bells, chopped 8 C. onions 4 C. celery 1/2 C. garlic minced 4 Tbsp cumin 6 Tbsp oregano 2 Tbsp salt 2 Tbsp black pepper 6 Tbsp rubber chicken 6 Tbsp nutritional yeast Saute onions, celery, and garlic. Add red bell peppers, green chilis, tomatoes, and beans. Cover with water, add seasonings. Simmer for approx. 2 hours, stirring often. Remove 1/2 gallon, puree, add back to soup.
