PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE March 2007 December 2009 GRUPO ANTOLIN USA, Belvidere, IL. Engineering, IT & Maintenance Manager Working to help this Lean / JIT door trim plant become the '07 "Global Plant of the Year" in just two years included on-time implementation of all 2008 project revisions as well as new product updates with minimal staff. Involved in the introduction of LEAN principles such as 5S, Kaizen, Standardiza tion and TPM. Responsible for new product introduction, evaluation and improvements as related to producibility. Managing the Engineering & Maintenance Departments throughout '07 while acquirin g managerial responsibility for the IT department in 2008. Evaluated and implemented a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Identified the need for and established a cross functional, quick response team to reduce plant downtime during critical systems failures. Weekly responsibilities include: department measurables report; customer, vendo r and corporate communications to support and improve product quality and safety . Nov. 2005 March 2007 GRUPO ANTOLIN USA, Belvidere, IL Process Engineer Reduced false failure rate from 23% down to less than 1% for a high definition v ision inspection system (Accusentry 9000) utilizing highly specialized templates to detect complex assembly defects. Successfully redesigned the end of line testing system to improve robustness and eliminate 80% of related down time with a newly designed quick change system. Redesigned specialized components on a pallet system for a 17% cycle time reduct ion while improving assembly ergonomics. Evaluated potential implementation of robotic foaming process for door panels. Project deemed unfeasible due to cost and cure times. Responsible for line balancing improvements design and implementation. May 1999 July 2002 CAROLINA RESOURCE CORP., Wake Forest, NC. Design Engineer While attending seminary full-time I worked for this manufacturer of specialized manufacturing and testing equipment included: machine design (utilizing Autocad R14, & Solid Edge solid modeling software), component manufacturing, machine co nstruction and debug, as well as wiring and programming. Sample project: Instrumental in development and design of a high speed (4-axis C NC) medical packaging systems (including vision system for inspection) for Steri s Corporation with cycle time of 1.2 seconds. Other functions included operating milling machine, lathe, surface grinder, weld ing equipment, and miscellaneous other metal working tools when needed. May 1995 Aug. 1998 E*Z*GO TEXTRON, INC., Augusta GA.

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities for this world class manufacturer of golf cars and industrial v ehicles was: Shop floor support for both the Electric Department (harnesses & assemblies) and the Vacuum Form Department (vacuum forming of vinyl and heavy gauge plastics). Project development, justification & implementation with some design responsibil ities. While in this position I was able to reduce the set*up times on the two vacuum f orming machines from 3.0 hrs. to 30 minutes per machine through machine modifica tions using SMED techniques. I was also able to reduce annual CNC router department costs by $ 30,000 through router tooling redesign and change over to diamond cutting inserts. July 1992 May 1995 PRESTOLITE WIRE CORP., Tifton, GA. Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities for this manufacturer of automotive high energy wiring harnesse s were : All facets of Engineering including: Concurrent Engineering: working with Product Engineering to formulate optimal pr oduct design for producibility.
