This is to certify that, at the request of owners, the undersigned

surveyor attended onboard the Motor Vessel “JAIPUR” at the Port of
Sharjah – U.A.E. on 09th May 2004 for the purpose of conducting a
superficial Condition Survey for registration requirements, and now
report as follows:

3. HULL CONDITION:

3.1 Weather Decks:

• Main deck plating and fittings were found in good

condition. Paint works was under progress by
vessel’s crew.
• Forecastle deck, anchor windlass, mooring winches
all found in good working condition.
• Ventilation cowl, mushroom heads and its closing
appliances found well maintained.
• Watertight doors on watertight bulkheads, deck
houses found in good condition.

• Bulwark plating, stays and fittings found in good

condition.
• Pipe line for fire, hydraulic, electric cables, etc.
found in good order.
• Ladder steps, hand rails are in good condition.
• Derrick’s boom, masts, winches and accessories
found well maintained.

3.2 Cargo Holds:

Vessel is constructed of 5 holds and 5 hatches. All cargo

holds were inspected and found in good condition. Tank
top, side frames, bulkheads, bilge well, manholes all
placed in good order.
Hatch covers, coaming, stays and securing arrangement
found in good condition.

3.3 Ballast Tanks

Fore peak, aft peak and double bottom ballast tanks

were internally inspected as far as possible and found in
good condition.

4.0 MACHINERY SPACES:

condition.

Auxiliary Engine

Vessel is fitted with 3 generating sets in engine room as

tube, working pressure 7.4 kg/cm2

Vessel is fitted also with inert exhaust gas boiler. Both

boilers are in good working condition.

Vessel’s bridge, chart room, and radio room were

inspected and following equipment noted in good
condition:

- Standard Magnetic Compass and means of

communication.
- Magnetic compass and table of residual deviation
- Gyro Compass (C. Plath)
- Radar: 2 nos. – Kelvin Hughes & Furuno

- Echo Sounder : ELAC

- Radar Angle Indicator

Signalling apparatus are inspected and found in good

condition as follows:

- Daylight signal lamp, forecastle bell, gong, ship’s

whistle, shapes, rockets, etc.
- Navigation lights and source of power checked and
found in good condition.
- Communication equipment such as GMDSS Radio
Equipments (Area A1 + A2 + A3), and Safety of
Navigation.
- Equipment EPIRB, Radar Transponder, Navtex
Receiver, etc. found in good working condition.

CONCLUSION:

As far as it could be ascertained from a general examination, vessel is

maintained in good seaworthy condition.

The inspection was carried out and this report was issued without
prejudice.
