Upload Files

Transfer Your Files to OpenDrive

groups, to your OpenDrive account. You can also upload entire folders through our zip file
option.

To access the upload window, click the Upload link at the top of the page below the tabs. The
window will appear, which will permit uploading of one or more files to the directory you are
currently in.

with Upload link will open a page that will allow an alternative means of downloading that
may be better suited to your Internet connection or firewall settings.

Upload Button
Once you have selected the file(s) you wish to upload, click the Upload button to begin
uploading to OpenDrive. The upload progress for each file will be displayed.

Uploading Folders
If you wish to upload folders of content rather than just files, this is possible through the web
interface by using zip files. Simply compress the contents of the folder you wish to upload
into a zip file and upload the zip file to OpenDrive as you would a file. Once the upload is
complete, you can unzip the file to expand all directories within that zip file. This eliminates
the need to individually and manually create folder structures within OpenDrive.

• Download: For downloading all files directly, bypassing OpenDrive web pages.

OpenDrive Web | 26

This is a handy and convenient tool designed to let you preview and edit compatible files online
for easy access and without the need for third party applications.

OpenDrive Web | 27

or preview your document or file.

Previewing Files
When a file such a picture is clicked, you will be able to see the picture without having to

version once editing is complete and file is saved.

editor, which works in a similar fashion to the office software suite you are familiar with.
Note: You must have Online Editing enabled to edit your documents online.

to maximum.
• Mute: Click the Speaker icon to the left of the Volume bar to mute playback. To
unmute, simply click the volume bar anywhere or the right Speaker icon to return
to full volume.

Controls are kept simple to keep the decoding process fast and efficient.

Audio Files
Audio files, such as MP3s, will display an icon showing the file type in the preview window.

still use the same controls as audio files.

Download

you can assign access to your OpenDrive account. It displays the total number allowed for
your plan and the amount of slots you have left.

Groups are for keeping multiple account users in categories so they can easily be found. You
can find the list of groups in the left pane. The group name that is bold is the group you are
currently browsing. You can separate your business contacts and personal friends into these
groups. This makes it easier to assign permissions to certain files and folders.

New Group/Edit Group

To create a new group, simply click the New Group link below your group list. You will then
be presented with a form to fill in to define your Group’s parameters, such as name,
description, image, IP restrictions and space/bandwidth allotment. Once you are done, click

New Users
To create a new account user, click the New link at the top of the page under the tabs. You
will then be presented with a form you can fill in to define your new account user and access

OpenDrive Web | 42
New Users

Creating New OpenDrive Account Users

to. By default, the sliders are fully to the right, granting the user all of the space and
