I attended Mphasis placement drive held in Dr. AIT college, Bangalore. Aspiring Minds was responsible for this process. Actually there were 3 rounds.

Online aptitude test. HR interview/ Technical Interview Versant round.

In online test there were 5 parts English 25 questions 25 min. (Refer Aspiring Minds materials) 10 synonyms and/or antonyms 2 passages (totally 6 to 8 questions) Assembling the sentences. Quantitative aptitude: 25 questions 35 minutes. Questions based on log questions. Speed, distance etc. Computer Based: 25 questions 35 minutes. Based on c programming. Based on OOP concept. And OS concept. Personality test: (No consideration to final result) 80 questions. 20 minutes. Here questions are trying to focus on your attitude. Reasoning: 25 questions 35 minutes. Problems based on seat arrangements, coding, sequence etc. You can answer next question only by moving from current question. There was 1 minute lea sure between parts. You can't move backward to correct answers. HR/ Technical Interview As usual first question "Tell me about yourself" I answered. He asked my key skills. He asked me to write one simple string copy program. I wrote. After he told me to explain it. Then he asked to write 10 to 15 UNIX commands. Then he told me to give brief description about it. He asked about OSI layers.

Verbal Communication Round It was like phone interview round. At first you have to tell your name and city. There was 5 sections. One sheet provided to you. You have to read some sentences on that as per another side instruction. It tells some sentences. You have to repeat that. It asks some simple questions. You have to answer. It tells some small story. You have to summarize that in time constraints. It asks some questions. We have to give good explanation for that. like " If you would allow to choose between summer and winter for 12 months what would you choose and why" (40 seconds time).
