Do not lift from top Lift from rear

Do not lift Ftz up from the open top of the pedal. Always lift up from the base or rear hinge area. Velcro on bottom can keep pedal stuck on carpet and mishandling can over stress the stopping screw area. Pedal surface may have an irregular mottled or speckled finish due to the strength enhancing additives within the material itself. Use mild soap and water to clean pedal. Do not use chemical based cleaners such as Acetone, Alcohol, Ammonia or paint thinner.

- Remove any impact discs or silencer pads when using the Ftz with a trigger. - Add the silencer pad or rubber impact disc when using the Ftz with the beater.

Pedal Angle Adjustment

1. Remove any Impact Discs or silencer pads. Angle Adjustment Screw 2. Flip pedal upside down. 3. Push down on pedal to expose the set screws Safety Screw located at the back of the pedal base. 4. Place angle adjustment screw and lock washer into one of the desired three holes. The hole closest to the safety screw allows for a greater, at rest, pedal angle. Screw until tight and the screw head is flush with washer. The enclosed screws are thread forming screws and you many need more pressure screwing into a hole that has not been threaded. Otherwise screw in firmly but do not over tighten.

Pedal Tension Adjustment

Follow steps 1,2+3 above.
4. Remove angle adjustment screw/washer and safety screw and allow pedal to open completely. CAUTION PEDAL WILL SPRING OPEN SUDDENLY IF NOT HELD FIRMLY! 5. Turn pedal on its side so the octagonal slotted adjustment area faces you. 6. The adjustment is a push - turn - release mechanism. Insert a screw driver into the slot and push down. Factory setting is medium A slight turn counter-clockwise and then pushing down may be necessary to release the initial setting. (a larger screw driver will work easier ) HOLD SCREW DRIVER FIRMLY, AS YOUR YOUR PEDAL IS PRE-TENSIONED AND THE SCREW DRIVER WILL WANT TO TURN CLOCKWISE. Clockwise = less resistance. 7. Turn to desired setting and release downward pressure to allow the A 10:30 setting is good when octagonal adjustment cap to lock back into place. using as a percussion pedal. (Tip: it is not necessary to push adjustment cap down too far before turning.) A wiggling of the screw driver may be needed to confirm that the cap has locked completely into place. Turning counter-clockwise allows for greater tension. 8. Turn pedal upside down, push down onto bottom of pedal to expose the set screw holes.
