The official opening of Gold Star Family Parkway happened on November 30th, 2021. Major General Hartsell,
USMC said this parkway has been 14 years in the making, with the success of this parkway being a great example
of Federal, State and Local governments working together; funded by the Federal Government, designated to
the FDOT to carry it out and then turned over to the city of Jacksonville. The State of Florida has over 1.5 million
veterans living in it, the second most in the nation, with over 22,500 veterans buried in the Cemetery. The purpose
of this parkway is to improve transportation options for motorists seeking access when attending funerals and
events held at the Cemetery. It is meant to honor all veterans and their families, especially the Gold Star Families
whose beloved soldiers, marines, sailors, airmen, coast guard and merchant marines gave their lives in the line-of-
duty so we could live ours. Anderson Columbia Co., Inc. is proud have been able to provide a service for one of the
most military-friendly veterans’ regions in the United States and is always happy and proud to support our veterans.

The Board of Nassau County Commissioners hosted a
ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of Crawford Road
in early November. The 6.5 mile road connects County Road
121 with the existing paved portion of the road. The project is
strategically located to become a future industrial and technological
epicenter supported logistically by a robust roadway and railway
transportation hub. Anderson Columbia is proud to have lended a
helping hand in connecting the Western Nassau County community. Reggie B. Jr. David J.

The Crestview Bypass is well underway with Robbie William’s crew working on the dirt side of things
and Jackie Cowarts and Mike Dorriety’s crews taking care of the bridge parts of the project. The
project is expected to be completed in 2023 and includes:
• PJ Adams Parkway on the south end of town being widened to four lanes to feed into the Southwest
Crestview Bypass.
• Construction of a four-lane north-south segment between the future I-10 interchange and U.S.
Highway 90 at its connection with Enzor Road.
• Construction of the two-lane east-west road between Arena Road and Physicians Drive, which
connects to FL 85 via West Redstone Avenue.
• A direct connection to Antioch Road via Arena Road as well as a link to the east-west connector.
• The new I-10 interchange, which is anticipated to be completed after the bypass’s north-south and
east-west roads are built, will stand just east of the existing Antioch Road overpass at I-10.

Anderson Columbia provided the materials and the manpower to replace the parking lot in First Baptist Church in
Dilley, Texas. Pastor Lance Hartsfield, who is also a chaplain with ACCI, wrote CEO Joey Anderson, Vice President
Berry O’Bryan and Area Superintendent Raymond Quigg a polite thank-you letter for the work and materials.
We as a church are so thankful for your hard work on our parking lot and your generosity in donating the time and
materials needed to replace our parking lot. You engineered the design so that the water would flow away from
the building. You removed the remnants of our old asphalt and did the base work so that it was slanted in the right
direction. Then you put in forms and poured concrete. The whole job was valued at over $15,000!
Thank you so much for your $15,000 donation in the form of work and materials to First Baptist Church in Dilley,
Texas.
Thanks you,
T
