Day 01: Arrive in Shimla: On your arrival in Shimla, you will be transferred to the hotel for check in and relaxation. Shimla is the capitol of the state and is placed in the lower range s of the Himalayas. Surrounded by lush forests of pine, deodar, oak and rhododen dron the valleys breath whispering streams and swaying fields within the town. U pon arrival check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel. Day 02: In Shimla: (Full day sightseeing): After breakfast at the hotel we will drive on for a city tour around Shimla. Fir st we will visit Christ church. This famous landmark church was built over a spa n of 11 years (1846-1857) and its the second oldest church of northern India . T he beauty of the church is enhanced by the stained glass in its windows. Next we will visit Jakhoo Temple : Dedicated to Lord Hanuman, this temple is at an alti tude of 8048 feet above sea level and is the highest point of Simla. It offers a panoramic view over the surrounding valley. Later we will visit Sankat Mochan t emple , The Kali Bari temple and the Tara Devi temple. In the evening we will dr ive back to the hotel for our overnight stay. Day 03: In Shimla: After breakfast at the hotel we will tour the city again and visit some modern m arvels this time. We first drive to the Viceregal Lodge & Botanical Gardens: The viceregal lodge was the residence of the British Viceroy Lord Dufferin. The lod ge has now been converted intoIndian Institute of Advanced Studies. Next will be the Ridge. The ridge is a large open space in the heart of town presents excell ent view of the mountain ranges.After the ridge we will drive to the hub of Shim la known as the Mall. Running along the Ridge it is the cityâ s most famous shopping center, with shops selling all items, from clothes to junk food. Most of Shimla' s landmarks are located here. The Mall further joins the Ridge at the â Scandal Point ' , where a statue of Lala Lajpat Rai has been erected. This is the main shoppin g center of Simla with restaurants. We will spend the evening g walking around h ere before driving back to the hotel. Overnight in hotel. If the more adventuruo us of you would like to visit the Glenn then it is a four kilometer walk from th e ridge through the dense forests. The Glenn is a famous picnic spot in Shimla. Day 04: Shimla to Kufri & Chail: After breakfast at the hotel we will drive on an excursion to Kufri and Chail. K ufri is famous for its wide views and ski slopes. an enjoyable walk leads up to the Mahasu peak, Near Kufri lies a Wild Flower hall, It is picturesque place fam ous for a fine view of the city and snowclad far off Mountain peaks. And also vi sit Chail Nestling in the shelter of virgin forests which cover many hills , Cha il is a tiny resort in shivalik region. Visit Cricket ground built in 1893, afte r leveling the top of hill, this stands at 2444m and is the highest cricket pitc h and polo ground in the world return back Shimla for overnight stay. Day 05: Shimla to Manali: (280 kmâ s / 5-6 hrs drive): After breakfast at the hotel we will drive to Manali. Enroute visit Kullu town a
nd valley known as abode of the gods and goddesses. this idyllic pastrol valley is also known as the orchard of India. A picturesque and tranquil heaven. Therea fter continue your drive to Manali. Manali is so fascinating in its beauty lies in snowcapped steep pinnacles cascading streams, pine and cedar woods with its r ich hiking and trekking possibilities. On arrival we will check onto the hotel. Overnight at hotel. Day 06: In Manali: After breakfast at the hotel we will drive and tour the Manali town visiting Had imba Devi temple built in 1553 and with superbly crafted four tiered pagoda root , its famous for its exquisitely carved doorway, Manu temple, Monasteries etc. w e will also take an excursion to the Solang valley and Rohtang Pass. Manali is g ateway to Rohtang Pass beyond which lies the twin valleys of Lahaul and spiti, s teeped in awe-inspiring barred splendor. Evening return back to Manali. Overnigh t at hotel. Day 07: Manali to Chandigarh via Nalagarh: (310 kmâ s / 7-8 hrs includes en-route sig htseeing): We leave for Chandigarh today. En-route to Chandigarh we will visit the secluded castle of Nalagarh. Located at a distance of 60 kmâ s the journey will be covered in 1Â½ hrs time. Nalagarh was the capital of the Kingdom of Hindur, founded by Raja Aj ai Chand in 1100 A.D. It was ruled by the Chandela Rajputs who originated from C handeri in the Bundelkhand region of Central India. The fort was built during th e reign of Raja Bikram Chand in 1421. On our arrival in Chandigarh we will trans fer you to the hotel or to any other destination within the city limits.
