The request was directed to Jeff Maute of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and has been forwarded to me for a response. You have asked for the following: Records of any and all video and audio recordings from the police cruisers operated by Trooper Jeremy Wickman from the beginning of his shift on April 1, 2011 through the end of his shift on April 30, 2011. Records of any and all Intoxication Reports, Impaired Driver Reports, and OVI Narratives drafted and/or printed by Trooper Jeremy Wickman relating to any OVI arrests made between April 1, 2011 and April 30, 2011, including but not limited to, narrations on statements of facts, field sobriety test reports, and evaluations. Records of any and all citations issued by Trooper Jeremy Wickman dated April 1, 2011 through April 30, 2011. Records of the most current policy and procedure for OVI investigations and arrests used by the Ohio State Highway patrol. The Department of Public Safety intends to promptly prepare and make available for inspection all public records responsive to the request. We intend to comply with the requirements of the public records law that requested public records are made available at cost and within a reasonable period of time. O.R.C. 149.43(B)(1).

Because responsive records, if any, may contain information which is exempt from disclosure under the public records laws, the records must be reviewed by the Departments legal staff before being made available for inspection and copying.
