Masjoko carried out an experiment to study the relationship between the length of the pendulum, l and the period of oscillation, T. The setup of the experiment is shown in Figure 5.

What is the acceleration of the trolley?

At the beginning of the experiment, a pendulum of 10.0 cm is suspended from a retort stand. The pendulum is then displaced by a small angle and released. The time taken for 20 oscillations is measured using a stopwatch. The experiment is repeated for l=20.0 cm, l=30.0 cm, l=40.0 cm and l=50.0 cm. Table 1 shows the result obtained in the experiment.
