JOB TITLE:

College Program Quality Assurance (PQA) Coordinator (G6)

DEPARTMENT/DIRECTORATE: LOCATION: MULTIPLE LOCATIONS

POSITION SUMMARY Within HCT policy guidelines, develops required material for program and institutional accreditation and benchmarking. Analyses and interprets data for use in quality assurance for the college and regularly reports results to the ACS Institutional & Learning Effectiveness Department. Creatively supports the HCT Quality Enhancement Program.

REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelors degree in related field required; masters degree preferred. Language: Fluent in both written and verbal English Experience Minimum 2 years teaching experience; minimum 3 years experience with accreditation processes (SACS preferred) for academic programs, preferably in a vocational college environment. Understanding and application of Learning College principles within academic and/or vocational programs. Experience with academic audits using PQA systems and preparing audit reports. Knowledge of/experience with application of comprehensive quality management systems, e.g. ISO, EFQM, Baldridge Award. Knowledge of/experience with methods for developing leadership, communication, teamwork, and trust in post-secondary students. SPSS and/or SAS software competency for data analysis and research; experience with data collection tools, such as focus groups, survey tools, survey design techniques, etc. Excellent communication and presentation skills.

COMMUNICATIONS Communicate with all levels of college management. Collaborate regularly with ACS Institutional & Learning Effectiveness staff via meetings and PQA reporting. Communicate regularly with PQA Coordinators at other colleges.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate with academic supervisors and heads of instruction in evaluating the impact of teaching and learning methodologies on graduate outcomes (GOs). Participate in HCTs development and implementation of processes to assess programs and services using continuous improvement assessment and evaluation. Provide quality assurance (PQA) evaluation of college service functions. Regular reports to college management and ACS Institutional & Learning Effectiveness Department (ACS-ILED); annual report for visiting GO and PQA review teams. Work with ACS-ILED regarding policy interpretation, organizing professional development training, and complying with any external accreditation requirements and HCT benchmarking practices. Develop PQA mechanisms as member of colleges PQA committee. Promote and disseminate PQA information throughout the college. Maintain archive of college PQA reports and feedback. Assist supervisors with implementation of student portfolios. Assist college PQA team in its effects on achieving GOs. Liaise with Education Technology Department on development and maintenance of college PQA website. Establish PQA work timelines for college that are consistent with overall HCT requirements. Monitor consistency of college PQA processes. Represent college in outside PQA activities. Serve as lead to any administrative staff assigned to assist in PQA activity.
